True Culprits of High Cholesterol - Homogenized Milk and Tap WaterWritten by Deb Bromley
What if I told you tap water and homogenized milk may be two of biggest culprits in skyrocketing rates of high cholesterol? Cholesterol is actually being produced by our own bodies all of time as a natural mechanism to combat oxidation when our bodies are diseased. Therefore, if we are not well, our cholesterol levels are likely to be higher regardless of what we eat that contains cholesterol. Having too low of a cholesterol level is just as bad as having too high.Avoiding eggs and other foods that naturally contain cholesterol may not be best solution, nor taking cholesterol-lowering drugs with their plethora of harmful side effects. For example, eggs are actually extremely healthy in moderation, being that they contain nutrients present at beginning of life. Fatty meats are often harmful simply because fats store toxins, and animals not raised naturally have often been injected with antibiotics, hormones, steroids, and graze on grounds containing pesticides and fertilizer residue. Two of most harmful, and most common, everyday products we are ingesting that contribute to high cholesterol, and thus plaque in arteries, are homogenized milk and chemically-treated tap water. The explanation is far more complicated than I will cover here, but basically homogenizing milk involves breaking down of fat particles to such a small size that milk looks nice and smooth with no chunks of cream, but these smaller fat particles can permeate intestines and end up in your blood stream. On other hand, fresh unhomogenized milk from farm, assuming cows have not been exposed to chemicals, with its cream floating to top, is natural and not a harmful form of fat. The larger fat molecules pass through digestive system and nutrients are properly absorbed without fat entering bloodstream. This cream, of course, can also be skimmed off top of milk and used for other purposes. Studies have shown that many of chemicals present in tap water that were added to kill bacteria, such as chlorine, often react with and oxidize cholesterol already in body, forming a gummy substance (plaque) that actually sticks to, and clogs, arteries. And there are many more dangerous side effects of drinking chemically-treated water. What can you do about it? If you want to lower your cholesterol, which is not an easy task once your body is not functioning properly regardless how much cholesterol you eliminate in your diet, first eliminate homogenized milk and stop drinking and cooking with tap water whenever possible. If you can't always get unhomogenized milk, such as from a health store or organic farm, then fat-free regular organic milk is next best choice so you're not getting chemicals nor as much cholesterol. If you can afford it, put a good filter in your bathtub or shower and/or install a whole-house distillation system, as even bathing in chemically treated water is harmful because it absorbs through your pores, and chemicals in steam are inhaled.
| | Tobacco - The World's #1 Killer Substance!Written by Colin R. Williams
TOBACCO is one of few legal substances available in stores as a consumer product, that will kill or harm when used as intended. It is #1 killer over-the-counter drug world has ever seen. Why is it we believe there’s enjoyment in something that is literally killing millions of people every year. Tobacco should be classified as a crime against humanity! Believe me.. no other consumer product in history of world has even come close to inflicting this amount of damage on mankind. If anything else of this magnitude was to pose same threat to life, whether it was human induced or naturally occurring – be it war, terrorist attack, genocide, ethnic cleansing, natural disaster or disease, it would as a rule command immediate international intervention! Think about current ‘war on terror’. So why isn’t it? You would have learnt how to smoke from that very first cigarette, as you most certainly practised draw-back and other styles of smoking until you finally achieved that great smokers status. If you were born to be a smoker then maybe your nose would be upside down (like a chimney) with a little umbrella over it to keep rain out! Firemen wouldn’t need any breathing apparatus. Seriously now, you wouldn’t pour toxic chemicals in to fuel tank of your car, truck, motor home or bike – would you? So why is it we can suck in over 4000 toxic chemicals with every cigarette and not really think anything of it (until it’s too late). Your life has got to be more valuable than your car or truck. There are dozens of what I call 'Smoker Myths' associated with nicotine addiction, some of them are like this.... Myth#1. "I enjoy smoking, it makes me feel good" ever said something like that, or what about…. Myth#2. "I really enjoy flavour of tobacco" are you kidding me!!! (Dog vomit would taste better) Myth#3. "I'm just soooo stressed out, I need a cigarette" These Smoker Myths become apart of smoking culture or belief system. How many times do you think a non-smoker would make these statements?
