Branding: Do You Stand Out From the Crowd?

Written by Susan Dunn

Bill, one of my clients, is trying to build a coaching practice. When I ask him what he wants to do, what kind of coaching, he says he wants to help people reach their goals and get more in touch with themselves.

Mary is also starting a coaching practice. She says she wants to help clients find out who they are, and make great strides in their careers.

All good coaches help their clients touchrepparttar source, as I call it, discover their strengths and set and reach new goals. All chiropractors offer spinal adjustments. All businesses that sell widgets, sell widgets.

Why would someone choose Bill or Mary then, instead of one ofrepparttar 121099 tens of thousands of coaches out there?

“90% of coaches feel they are highly differentiated from other coaches, says William Arruda, The Branding Guru ( http://www.reachcc.com ), who’s had 20 years experience in international branding. “Yet,” he adds, “only 10% feel strongly that their differentiation is visible to their ideal clients.”

Build Downlines, Make Money.

How many programs have you joined and promoted, only to end up with next to no referrals? Why does this happen?

Let's take a look at some ofrepparttar choices you have when a referral signs up under you. Do you:

- contact that person, offering your help? - not bother to email them, and assume they know what to do? - email them immediately with your latest program offer?

If you don't know what to do, you're not alone.

I`ve found that with multi-level referral programs, no matter which one it may be, it`s always better to start out by trying to get your first 3 referrals, then working with THEM to get THEIR first 3, and also teaching them to dorepparttar 121098 same. This is known in some circles as duplication.

It`s always hard to start building downlines, but go for it - be helpful. Helping your referrals means that you are also ultimately helping yourself.

Depth vs. Width

Work onrepparttar 121099 depth, rather thanrepparttar 121100 width of your downline to begin with. After that "leg" of your downline is working merrily away without too much intervention from you, start on another leg, doingrepparttar 121101 exact same thing.

Golden Rules

Never ever use hype when you`re promoting any programs Believe me, it doesn`t work in reality. People get disappointed if they don`t get what they`ve been promised withinrepparttar 121102 timeframe it`s been promised.
