This involves treating oils and resulting substance is much, much more harmful than butter could ever be. A future article will discuss subject of oils and fats. The official dietary guidelines virtually ignore incredibly harmful impact of processed foods and sugar on human body. They also ignore fact that normal western diet is seriously lacking in essential nutrients, which translate to imbalances and poor health. 3. Mystery. We all know that human body is an amazingly complex 'vehicle'. No one fully understands all interactions that are taking place within it every second throughout your lifetime. This includes medical profession along with pharmaceutical industry, evidenced by ongoing removal from market of drugs which have been approved and considered to be safe and afterwards found not to be. Nonetheless, many people place far too much reliance on medical profession. Apart from using medical profession for important tests to find out internal health of your body so you can make corrections in your lifestyle habits if required, you should never have to visit a physician. Now, I understand and appreciate that this is not case for vast majority of people. I just want to make point that other than routine check ups if you need to visit Doctor it means you have damaged your body in some way and are seeking a repair. Your body is not like a car when it comes to repair issues. When you try to repair your body through use of pharmaceutical drugs you run a serious risk of starting a cascade effect which will bring on other health problems in short or longer term. In Summary If you want to live a life of vibrant health and energy take a close look at your attitude to health and consider honestly if you are working towards removing as much as possible mystery of how your body works. Realize that there is no quick and easy medical 'fix' for most ailments as a single ailment is often merely one small symptom of other underlying problems that cannot be effectively dealt with in isolation...in long term. Try to eliminate as much as possible, your intake of manufactured and processed foods and avoid drinking sodas, and tap water. If you are overweight be particularly vigilant about avoiding sugars in any form...they are much more damaging to your weight objectives than fat. 6. Appreciate your loved ones and show that you appreciate them. Too often we take those closest to us for granted. Small, loving, appreciative and regular actions and words enhances quality of our relationships. Don't wait until that person is gone - start now. 7. Sleep well. Like drinking water, a lot of us are sleep derived. If amount of sleep we got was our bank account, we'd be in red! So start making regular deposits. It may be difficult to get enough sleep if you have young children, a very active social life or work long hours, but aim for at least 3 nights per week. Learn how to nap and create spaces in day to do so. Create a ritual around getting to bed at a reasonable time. Regular good sleep improves your physical and mental well being. 8. Create an environment you love. Even if you don't like place you live in, small things like flowers and candles can really brighten your environment. 9. Do more of what you enjoy. Sometimes our lives are so crowded that we forget to make time to enjoy ourselves and wonder why we're lacking in energy! It can be as simple as listening to music, dancing (you can tell I like this one!) or a relaxing bath. Do more of what you enjoy with people you love being with. Life's too short not to! 10.When good things happen - appreciate them. You may write down your appreciation in form of a gratitude journal or just acknowledge it to yourself or share it with others, who'll be happy for you. Alternatively, if worries crop up during day and you don't feel able to talk about it to anyone - yet, then write it down, ask a question about how it can be resolved and sleep on it.
