What is Reiki?Written by Sam Stevens
Continued from page 1 Traditionally, healer is taught a set of hand positions that are postured over sick or troubled person’s body. These sometimes look like Reiki master is giving person a massage from mid hair. The Reiki Practitioner will occasionally make scooping or actions like he is smoothing a bedspread. This is all part of his intent to intuitively correct energy imbalances in your aura. Some healers will also place their hands directly on a sick or ill part of a body and keep them there as long as necessary. Reiki can also be used to still emotional storms as well as heal relationships. This is done by correcting subtle energies of what is known as “orgone body”, “electromagnetic field” or aura. Often, hands are passed through air, once again, removing blocks and negative entities or thought forms from person’s force field. Reiki is also used to heal individuals at a distance. This is also called “remote healing”. Although it is not always necessary, Reiki healer will ask for an object or create an object that represents ill person. Treating object is thought to also treat person at a long distance away. Some very talented Reiki masters have also been known to heal objects such as cars, computers and traffic jams. The idea is to act as a vessel and send situation light so that it will correct itself. In a way, Reiki is also about breaking bad patterns. The great sages always despise anything too habitual as it is thought to cause stagnation and disease. Good interference from a well trained Reiki master or light worker is thought to break these patterns and allow fresh energy to trigger process of healing.

Continued from page 1 To open your Crown Chakra I suggest you try following simple basic exercise: • Breathe in and as you do, imagine white sunny ball of fierce bright light that I am going to call Higher Self Sun hovering about six feet about your head. • Now imagine that there is another sunny ball of yellow light glowing in your upper tummy (your solar plexus.). • As you breathe out imagine Higher Self light shooting a Star Trek-like sharp focused beam of light, straight down through crown (the very top of your head to energize this ball of light that is in your solar plexus. • For next ten breaths, imagine energy shooting up from your solar plexus area to Sun above your head as you inhale, and energy shooting back down with each exhale. Imagine your entire stomach area filled with a brilliant, honey-colored, warm golden light. • Now imagine your heart’s center as a small pink pinpoint of light. Each time you breathe in, your solar plexus reaches for that energy from Higher Self in sky. • Now when you breathe out, super-charged solar plexus chakra sends energy back up towards your heart center. The pinpoint of light in your heart is like a small shining star that gets brighter and larger with each breath. You are feeding heart’s center, using solar plexus chakra as a conduit for energy from higher self. • With each breath that you breathe out, this pinpoint of light in your heart chakra grows brighter and brighter and larger and larger…. until it starts to resemble a little fountain. • This fountain shoots white light upwards, higher and higher, until releases a spray of light that falls from crown (the top of your head) to your feet. Every time you breathe out, your body is showered in a spray of rainbow colored lights. Imagining a fountain of diamonds is always good. • By now, each time as you breathe, following sequence should be taking place: you inhale and send solar plexus energy up through crown of your head to Higher Self Sun six feet above your head. You exhale and Higher Self sends energy downwards to solar plexus which sends energy to heart’s center which explodes in a fountain of light that circulates to top of head, showers to your feet and back up again. • With each breath, you are now rinsing yourself with holy light from Higher Self. This is an efficient way of opening your chakras and increasing your receptivity to messages from your higher self and angels.
