Web Designs CritiqueWritten by Nash Ville

I also agree with statement of other designer that "You learn good design through works of others" because sometimes, especially when we’re just starting in our chosen profession, we tend to copy other people’s ideas and concepts in creating our own works of art. This is acceptable but we should limit ourselves to use other designers’ designs as references only, not as plagiarized designs-to-be. There’s nothing wrong in giving criticisms to others or following what other people says about us. But always remember that it will still depend on us if how are we going to take these criticisms, either we follow or just ignore them. After all, we all have our own prerogatives to do what we want in our lives. We have our own principles and it’s up to us if we are going to live with it. I believe that our individuality makes us unique. When it comes to web designing, it’s a matter of self expression, simply showing what others don’t see in you. Let’s just respect others way we respect ourselves.

| | Why Coloring Your Fonts is Not Always RecommendedWritten by Maricon Williams
Continued from page 1
Experts tell us not to color small font. In doing so results to misregistration or a little bit of variance in consistency of different color plates. There is a bit of inconsistency in lining up of cyan, magenta, yellow and black pigments in font characters. Colored font can be used in making large headline type text. It can also be use to smaller fonts but not less than 12 point size. Too smaller colored fonts will become unnoticeable and hard to read. In cases when you use dark background, do not use white text with smaller point sizes same result will accrue. It will look unprofessionally made. Be aware also of needs of color-blind readers of your webpages who see a screen with a little deviation of colors. They can hardly read pale fonts. Sometimes it is better to opt for standard way of making font colors and designs. Most of time, it is better to stick on principle - less is beautiful. That way you can be assured of usability and readability of your pages.
