5) Promote proper "Title Tags". While promoting your site, make sure to create a proper title tag that best describes your entire site. Also, make sure to include your entire title within all "Link exchanges" that you make!

6) Do not break any search engine / spamming rules! This is crutial for your long term survival. Spamming is only a quick fix with a high price attached to it.

7) Implement a link building strategy for your site. Make sure to include a link exchange program within your site when you are designing it. So many people add it on later and it seems like it doesn't belong with site. Less people will want to leave your site if your link resources looks like rest of your design.

8) Always expand your information. Search engines / visitors get bored quickly. Bringing in fresh, new content will keep them interested and keep them coming back.

9) Try not to get wrapped up in "Google Dance". Too many people start watching their online performance instead of increasing it. Promote daily and always stick with it.

10) Create banners, towers, buttons for people to use. It never hurts having someone take your buttons and adding them to their site for nothing in exchange.

6.LARGE HEAVY IMAGES

If you want to use images on your website, make sure to optimize your image size as much as possible. Do not make your site heavy by using big images that take ages to download. Avoid using background images on your web page. They look shabby and interfere with user's experience of browsing through your site. Too many moving logos, rotating images and other add-ons can work negatively for your site. So be careful not to overdo.

7.FLASH INTRO'S WITH NO ESCAPE

If you want to use a flash introduction on your site, go ahead use it. But do not forget to provide a "SKIP INTRO" or "HTML Site" link as an option along with your flashy flash movie!! Be thoughtful! Think of all those visitors who want to skip right through to real information on your site. This way you have a nice intro running for those who care to see it and a direct link to your site for those who don't.

8.LONG NEVER ENDING PAGES

Avoid making your pages too long : It is very frustrating for visitors to your website to scroll down endlessly each page to read what you have to say.....What adds to problem is when you have badly laid out content. Don't make them hunt for information - lay it out well, structure it.....
