Click on Advanced tab-Edit. Here you can change font, by highlighting copy, going to font shortcut on toolbar. If you want, you can click on B on toolbar to make font bold.

Want to insert an image? If you just want to use a picture from ClipArt collection, decide where you want image to appear. Click in that spot. Go to Insert menu and choose Picture-ClipArt. Click on a category and find image you want. Right-click image and choose Insert clip.

If you want to use a picture from your hard drive or your company logo, instead of choosing ClipArt, choose From File instead of ClipArt. You can then find image on your hard drive, click on picture you want to insert, then click ok.

To resize your image, click on image. Click on one of corner handles and drag it to size you want. Click somewhere outside image to get rid of handles.

To get text to sit beside picture, right-click on image and choose Format Picture. Click on Text Wrap tab, then Absolute button. Click ok.

Tip: If you design a label that you might want to use again, save it. You will receive a prompt to save it before you close document. Do so.

Note: From ClipArt, you could choose a Christmas picture if you are printing Christmas card labels.

Click on Printing tab and click on Preview, to see what your label looks like. Do a test printing on a piece of paper to make sure they print correctly and look way you want them to. Overlay paper on sheet of labels to make sure they fit. That way, you won't waste any of your labels. If they are not right, click on Label size tab and choose a new size. When you are happy with look and are sure they fit on label, click Print button.

To change color of text,go to toolbar and click on 'Format WordArt' button. Click on 'Color and Lines' tab. In 'Fill' section, choose color for your text. If you want you can have an outline around text. You can do this by, choosing a color for line (s), in 'Line' section. TIP: Black gives a shadow effect. Click 'OK'.

NOTE: To adjust spacing between letters, click on 'Character Spacing' button, on toolbar and click on your choice from menu.

Let's say you want to move text or resize it. You can move text by, clicking on it and dragging it. If you want to resize it, highlight text by clicking on it. Click on one of corner handles, keep mouse button pressed down and drag it across screen.

A Note: to look professional, your invitation should be printed on card stock (heavy paper like regular cards you buy are printed on). If your computer can't handle this type of paper, you could copy it to a 'Floppy Disk' How to do this, can be found at: http://janes-place.com/contents_newbie-tips.htm then take it to a printing shop.

Now, to continue making our invitation. You can adjust shape of your WordArt by, clicking on it (to highlight), then click on 'WordArt Shape', locate on toolbar. A palette will appear, offering you a selection of options. Make you choices. You will be able to view how your choices will look before your final selection.

We are now ready to position rest of our text. You do this, by highlighting each section and clicking on 'Left', 'Center' and 'Right' alignment toolbar buttons.

Add 'ClipArt' images, if you would like. To put 'ClipArt' on invitation, put your cursor where you want 'ClipArt' to appear. Go to top of toolbar and find 'Insert' menu, 'Picture', click on 'ClipArt'. Choose image you want, then click 'Insert Clip' button, on pop-up toolbar. Go to 'Format' menu and click 'Picture'. Click on 'Position' tab. Make sure that 'Float Over Text' box is checked.

Hold down 'Ctrl' button and press 'A' on your keyboard, to highlight text and ClipArt. on toolbar, you will see an icon for 'Copy'. Click on it. Place your cursor at end of text and press 'Return' key, on your keyboard, then click on 'Paste' icon on toolbar. Adjust spacing to your liking, then print your invitation or copy it to a 'Floppy Disk' to take to printer.

Now you have made your own unique invitations, to send to your guests. There are a lot of different things you could do with invitations, to make them reflect your personality. TIP: If you have a scanner, you can upload your pictures and use them on invitations. Ex- It's your son's birthday party. You could upload a picture of your son. You can also do same, if you have a digital camera. When you take pictures with your digital camera, you upload them to your computer and save them on your hard drive. That way, they are there, if you want to use them.
