Persuasive CommunicationWritten by Ronnie Nijmeh
Continued from page 1
The Power Of "We" Its difficult to step out of your own shoes (and ego), and allow others to help you grow, succeed or achieve. After all, we all love to take credit for something that we had a part in, even with a limited role. For example, look at movie credits. You see how many people are listed even guy who swept floor behind scenes gets his few seconds of fame in credits! Oftentimes when speaking, we focus on singular: "I", "Me", and "My". That is: "I completed this job" or "I want it my way" or "Me! Me! Me!" But it doesn't work that way! Not if you want to successfully persuade your people towards your side. CHALLENGE: In everyday life, when speaking to others use words like "we" and "us" rather than very common singular words. It helps identify with others and makes them feel as though they are an integral part of a team. They'll quickly notice it! In fact, if you're lucky enough, you might even see one of them perk up and crack a smile of excitement. A great leader focuses their efforts on praising their team and uses words like "We", "Us" and "the Team". Not only does it inspire others to achieve further success with you, but it also builds rapport so theyll want to work with you again. Besides, its much more powerful to say "We." Its much more intimidating to say "We confronted, we conquered." It'll sound like youve got a big following behind you, and with right persuasive communication techniques, you soon will!

| | Firewalking Seminars: How To Organize An EventWritten by Denver Dobbins
Continued from page 1 To get ball rolling on this process, you’ll need to find a Certified Firewalk Instructor that you feel is in alignment with message or structure of your group. Again, best place to start here is by searching through Google or Yahoo to find Certified Instructors. Luckily, if you’re going this route you’re no longer limited to an Instructor located near you as many Instructors factor in travel costs into their fee. This means you have a HUGE number of Instructors to choose from. Some other great resources to find Instructors are available at my website, located at: http://www.firewalking-seminar.com or http://www.walkwithfire.com or at Peggy Dylan’s (The Founder of modern firewalking movement.) website http://www.sundoor.com . You’ll need to keep in mind that in addition to their fee you’ll need to supply a few things, such as wood, other supplies, and perhaps even travel / lodging. But even after all these items are paid for, you’re still likely to make a nice sum of money for your time and promotion. Good luck in your quest to experience joys and greatness of firewalking, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at Denver@walkwithfire.com .Cheers, and happy firewalking!

Denver Dobbins is a Sundoor Certified Firewalk Instructor. He currently resides in Albuquerque New Mexico, but leads firewalks for groups of all sizes nation wide.
