Your main responsibility, when drop shipping, is selling to customer.

You need following:

A venue for selling - for example, your own website, eBay or a Yahoo Store Products to sell at a profit - many companies claiming to be legitimate drop shippers are actually bogus and products they are selling aren't at warehouse prices. I'll tell you soon where to find best list of 'real' drop shippers available anywhere.

Drop shipping is one of few methods I haven't personally tried, but it's definitely a method that interests me and I plan to test it in future.

There is a very good free book I suggest you read if you are interested in drop shipping, it is from reading it that I know as much as I do. The author of book I'm about to mention is also creator (with his partners) of recognized best resource for finding legitimate drop shippers. I read it as well. Over 500,000 products searchable by name or brand.

•Where in eBay will I list my products?  The only way to know what will work best for your product is testing. I tend to list my products in several different categories, with different listing options to test which works best for that product.

•What will I say in my ad?  Most importantly, use keywords in your title that people looking for your product will use when searching, combine keyword phrases where possible. Always include photos and be very descriptive in content of your listing. If there is a problem with product, say so.

•What starting bid should I choose?  Some people say starting bid should be zero point, that is, price at which you break even. That way you can’t lose money (unless no one bids). Other people say you should set starting bid low to stimulate bidding. Experience and testing will provide answer.

•How will I process payments?  Most payments are processed by Paypal. Unless you have specific requirements, just use Paypal until you get hang of things.

•How will I get product to buyer?  If you use a drop-shipper, they will send product. If you stock product, go to post office or use your preferred shipping method and send ASAP.

Some additional points:

•Always follow eBay rules or you’ll just create problems for yourself. •Always ask winning bidder for POSITIVE feedback. •Always keep learning how to improve your eBay business.
