I actually found this statement to be quite profound. I mean how many people do you encounter on a daily basis that consistently give much less than what they are capable of but are still able to hold down their jobs, put food onrepparttar table and make their mortgage repayments? Could you see this as a possibility in less fortunate, less developed nations?

One shot.

Until someone manages to convince me otherwise, I can only assume that we get one shot at life (the Universe is a fascinating place so I am open to suggestions on that one!). Time is running out for all of us. We have one shot and one shot only to experiencerepparttar 105680 magic and beauty of all this life has to offer.

What would you do?

What would you do if you had a day to live? How about a week? What about a month, a year, a decade? We are all going to die someday. Why not be that somebody who can look back over your years and smile as you say to yourself “you know something, I gave it everything.”

4 Steps to a Less Comfortable but More Compelling Future.

1. Think deeply about what your special gifts are and what you love doing most.

2. Think about how you could structure your life to spend more time developing, cultivating and sharing your gifts.

3. Experiment putting aside your comfort seeking behavioural patterns.

4. Get out there and berepparttar 105681 best you can be.

Miracles Happen

Before my mom could getrepparttar copy, however, my little sister grabbed it and said she had been wanting to read it. Now, I knew that my little sister had contemplated suicide years ago, but I had honestly thought she had moved past that and on to a life that she was enjoying.

A few days after this musical book exchange (which I didn't even know about until later), my little sister called me with awe in her voice, "Do you know what you did?" I wasn't exactly sure what she meant. Then she went on to tell me how she had gotten to a point in her life that she believed life on earth was just a living hell and that she might as well find a way to survive it. She was berating her kids, quarreling with her four-year-old daughter, mad atrepparttar 105679 world, and hurt besides. In short she had given up on ever finding God or happiness.

Then she started hearing about this book and how it was helping everyone else. After reading it, she told me, "This is what everyone who is in pain needs to hear. They need to understand this. It makes allrepparttar 105680 difference inrepparttar 105681 world."

At this writing she is still battling physical pain that she has had for years; however, I sincerely hope that by stepping out on that limb of faith, I have helped her find an emotional peace that I don't think she has ever had. The most amazing thing is that had it not been forrepparttar 105682 tragedy ofrepparttar 105683 first young man, I never would have thought to giverepparttar 105684 book to my sister. For going out on that limb of faith, God rescued lives I never even knew were in jeopardy.

By now, I'm sure you're wondering aboutrepparttar 105685 title of this truly incredible book. Its name is "The Greatest Miracle inrepparttar 105686 World." It's by Og Mandino. It's very short, very easy to read, and very, very powerful. If you know someone who needs a miracle in their lives, run--don't walk--to your nearest bookstore. Send it to them, give it to them, read it for yourself.

According to my sister, you need do no more than simply presentingrepparttar 105687 opportunity. Don't say, "You need to read this." Just say, "I read this and enjoyed it, and I thought you might to."

What miracles does God have lined up when you read this message? I have no idea, but I took one leap of faith to send it to someonerepparttar 105688 first time and saw infinitesimal results that I'm still in awe over. So basically, I'm not limiting anything God decides to do with this book and a little prompting from me anymore. Why? Because I'm here to attest: Miracles happen.
