Adjust Your Attitude and Expect SuccessWritten by Caterina Rando
Continued from page 1
To expect more success, more of time, follow these steps: Acknowledge all small successes in process. Count your "wins" daily. Wins are all those things that go your way in a given day—the letter you wrote, VIP you finally got hold of, parking ticket you eluded, compliment you received. Smile. Both psychologically and physiologically, this simple, easy action improves our well-being, which improves our outlook, which prepares us for all great things we are expecting to happen to us. To become fit and healthy from a success standpoint, give your smile muscles a workout just like rest of your body. Hold your success attitude in your body. Stand up straight, raise your chin up, keep your shoulders back and feet firmly planted. Feel power of personal success in every cell in your body. Create a compelling success image in your mind. Once you expect your success, see it. Imagine it vividly and in color—what are you doing, where are you, what are you wearing, how does it feel like in your body? Make your success as real as possible in your mind, so your expectancy is even stronger and, as a result, your actions even bigger. Do affirmations. I like to call them "intentions." State to yourself over and over what you intend to create in your life. State your intentions verbally, out loud to yourself; state them silently, in your mind; and record them on a cassette tape so that you can listen to yourself stating what you expect to create in your life. If you think these efforts are excessive, ask yourself if it is possible for you to be excessively successful. You will only manifest in your life what you first manifest in your mind. Be bold. Do all those things today that you know you will do when you are more successful. That is how you will create success you strive for in your business and life. You will never be more successful than you expect you can be. Greet every day with belief that good things are going to happen to you. Expect to be successful with your calls, appointments and projects. Your work life will be enriched; you will take more risks, make more requests, and seize more opportunities. That will result in a better life, and that is what success is all about. A friend told me recently that studies show people with a positive disposition not only think they have better lives, they actually do have better lives. Following that with unscientific logic, I say that people who expect success not only think they are more successful, they actually are more successful. I urge you to vigorously and fully prove my theory in your own life.

Get Support The fastest way to get to burn out in your business is to take on everything and try to do everything yourself. What are activities you can delegate or farm out? Your time is best spent on those things that only you can do. When you feel supported in your work you will have more stamina. Take a Risk a Day The more you expanding your comfort zone, more you find yourself doing what is scary to do: calling that ambivalent account, making a suggestion for a cost saving idea, trying a new technique, more you will feel invigorated. When today is just like yesterday and you know tomorrow will be same, work gets routine. Taking risks keeps things unpredictable and exciting. Be Present Now 80% of what we think about already happened. What a waste, don't waste your time and precious energy thinking about what you did not do yesterday, what you forgot to include in your letter, why you did not get sale. Do a quick review and then let it go. Dwelling on yesterday depletes your Success Stamina for today and tomorrow. Never Stop When you Are On Top When you are having a great day, when things are clicking, when everyone and everything seems on your side, don't cut your day short. This is time to work late, go on one more appointment, write one more proposal, make one more phone call. Go with momentum. Know When to Take a Break Just as important as riding wave when you are having a lot of positive energy is recognizing when you need a break when some rest and rejuvenation will serve you. This might be a weekend away, an afternoon nap, or a day you go in office a little later. People who do not take breaks are less productive and have less Success Stamina. Get Fresh Ideas Successful people are always in pursuit of more success read industry publications, go to seminars, talk to colleagues, and get a mentor. Pursue opportunities that will improve personal side of your life. A focus on freshness will soothe your soul and feed your spirit and stamina. You can always use more Success Stamina. Identify which of these ideas will make most difference for you, make some changes and watch your Success Stamina soar
