Your Thoughts Are PowerfulWritten by Gerri D Smith
YOUR THOUGHTS ARE POWERFUL Gerri D Smith Copyright 2005 Word Count 557 “You create your thoughts, your thoughts create your intentions, your intentions create your reality. Learn to act as if life you visualize were already here." -Dr. Wayne W. Dyer The only thing between you and your desire to be successful and wealthy is one single fact: You are not successful or wealthy because of how you think. This little known fact keeps many from reaching their goals of success and wealth. Are you sabotaging yourself from reaching your goals? Do you find yourself spending lots of time doing things to change what you don’t like in your life? Most problems are caused by way you think. If one thing doesn’t work, you may try something new, then something else, and still another something. The trick to solving problems is to understand what is going on in your mind. Focus on your thoughts and become aware of how many of your thoughts hold you back or push you forward. Understanding your thoughts helps you answer any problems you may have, too. This leads you tol understand your dreams and goals. All thoughts begin in your subconscious mind. Before they can be expressed in your physical world, you must know how to set them in motion. This in turn, produces a certain result. What then, is ‘missing ingredient?’ How do you set your thoughts in motion? There is no other way then this: you need to think differently. If your old ways of thinking aren’t working, you must learn a new way to think. And if you are to be, do, and have all that you wish for - success, wealth, health, positive relationships, you name it - you must learn to think in a different style that works. When you enhance new understanding of your thoughts, there is nothing in your life that cannot be accomplished.

Get Back in Driver’s Seat of Your Life What would happen if you lived your life by design rather than by default? What would happen if you took time to choose what you wanted in life rather than letting life choose it for you? I am sure that many of you know people who appear to be living their lives on ‘autopilot’. They get up in morning, get ready to work, drive to work using same route, do their daily work tasks, drive home from work using same route as before, eat dinner, perhaps play with kids, watch TV and then go to bed. The next morning it starts all over again. Before you know it, weeks have gone by, months and then even years. Sometimes a ‘life crisis’ happens, a severe accident, a life-threatening illness, death of a loved one, or perhaps just mid-life, and these people who have been on ‘autopilot’ for so many years suddenly appear to ‘wake-up’ and take a good look at lives they have been living. They may realize that they have been ‘human doings’ rather than ‘human beings,’ living their lives for everyone and everything other than themselves. What is ironic about this situation is that, whether we like it or not, we are author’s of our own lives. Everything that we have right now is RESULT of choices and decisions we have made along way, even if for most part they were made on ‘autopilot’ or based according to some sort of ‘should,’ ‘could,’ or ‘ought to’. We get hooked into these external expectations and idea of our own personal and authentic life goes down tubes. A life crisis does not have to be precipitating factor to making positive change in your life though. Take a good hard look at you life right now and ask yourself: “If I am not one in driver's seat, then who or what is?” Living your life in driver’s seat means that you know what you want and what is most important to you. You live a balanced and happy life filled with purpose and meaning. You have taken time to create an authentic, vibrant and happy life, because if you don’t take time to choose what you want, life will choose it for you. The way to get back into driver’s seat of your life is to create a life strategy. If you want to get most out of your money you create a financial strategy. The same is true for your life. If you want to get most out of your life you need to create a life strategy. A sound life strategy can be described as a house. The bottom foundation of your house is your personal foundation. T he stronger it is, less likely your house/life will crumble under stress. The four cornerstones of your house/life are: - clarity of what your life is like now
- clarity of what you want your life to be
- cleaning up unfinished business from you past
- clarity of
beliefs and attitudes that may or may not be serving you The roof of your house is made up of strategies that you set in place to build life your desire.
