Your Online Business BudgetWritten by Jude Wright
Have you set up a budget for your online business yet? You do need one, you know. Budgeting for your business will help keep your expenses within reason, and tell you if you are making financial progress. How do you create a business budget? Pretty much same way you would for your household budget. First, determine what your income is. You say your business hasn't generated an income yet? Then, you'll have to decide how much you can take from your personal income to invest in your business. Decide on expense categories that you think you'll need for your particular business. For instance, web hosting, advertising and education. Take amount of money that you decided you would have for your "income" and apportion it to various expense categories you created. Make educated guesses if you need to. It will be easier to determine what expense amounts and categories are as your business actually starts to generate income and expenses. Follow your budget and adjust it monthly to reflect changes your business goes through. A word about your business income: Reinvest. Reinvest all profits of your business back into your business. Believe me - your business will grow much faster if you do.

As obvious as this fact seems, there are bosses who don't seem to realize that this applies to them and people who work for them. Some bosses cannot compliment their employees because they are just a little bit jealous. Other bosses like to play role of being hard to impress. A few bosses are afraid to be too liberal with praise and recognition. One is as wrong as other. People crave attention and recognition for themselves and their work. Give it to them and watch a metamorphosis take place. They will turn their appreciation into acts of gratitude, acts of doing things correctly first time, not because they have to, but because they want to. What does it take to satisfy your employees? It does not take much; all you have to do is ask them. When asked, they will give you many good ideas as to how you can enhance motivational climate for them.
