Would You Just Let Someone Take What Belongs To You?Written by Rena D. Robertson
No? Me either. So, why is it, then, that we are continually letting people do just that?Maybe you came home from school one day and couldn’t wait to tell your Mom or Dad about a really neat idea you had for something that was so cool, it would probably make you rich or it could make world a better place. But before you could tell them, you told a friend who laughed at your idea and told you that it was a stupid one… it could never work… you weren’t smart enough to think it up on your own…etc. So, you decided to forget about it and not say anything to anyone else. How about time you wanted to pursue that dream you’ve had for such a long time. Only to have it shot down when you told your spouse about it.
| | The Winning Edge TheoryWritten by Eric Plantenberg
One of greatest challenges people face when trying to make personal improvement is feeling overwhelmed. This probably stems from belief that in order to make incredible progress in their life, they will have to start by creating a long and detailed list of things they are doing wrong and all things they are going to have to change. That thinking is simply inaccurate. In Kentucky Derby, winning horse receives prize money 10 times greater than horse it beat by a ‘nose’. In professional baseball, difference between being sent to Minors and a million dollar contract is one single out of every 20 times at bat. A handful of electoral votes determined who won last Presidential election. But nowhere are examples as dramatic as in your own life! If you are 1% better than your competition in business, you will get 100% of sale ~ if you are 1% worse you get nothing.
