Would You Deny Him?

Written by Joyce C. Lock

If someone came to your church, claiming to be called to build churches both spiritually and numerically (offering no special programs or gimmicks); you could see it their heart's desire, repparttar Holy Spirit compelling them (I Jn. 5:6b), and every step of instruction was scriptural ... would you receive them?

If a prophet came to your front door, with glorious visions for your future and they, not only proclaimed God's message withrepparttar 126854 veil ofrepparttar 126855 Old Testament removed but, was willing to berepparttar 126856 person inrepparttar 126857 forefront; going through allrepparttar 126858 fires and floods to show you how (fulfilling scriptural evidence that their gift was real) ... could you believe them (Is. 49:4, 7)?

If someone could interpretrepparttar 126859 misunderstood writings of Paul, to guide you intorepparttar 126860 experimental administration; where Jesus is trulyrepparttar 126861 head ofrepparttar 126862 church ... would you still want more proof (II Co. 13:3)?

If God rose up murders, adulterers, terrorist, and such to places of special service (as He didrepparttar 126863 great men of old) ... would you be likerepparttar 126864 Pharisees, requiring signs from Heaven (when they had already been provided inrepparttar 126865 scriptures)? Or, would you be likerepparttar 126866 Greeks, relying on your own wisdom; with a hundred reasons why God's Word does not count for today (I Co. 1:22)?

Teachers of Biblical Times

Written by Joyce C. Lock

Thus saithrepparttar Lord, Stand ye inrepparttar 126853 ways, and see, and ask forrepparttar 126854 old paths, where isrepparttar 126855 good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Sometimes Teachers of Biblical Times Had to Learn Thingsrepparttar 126856 Hard Way.

Some taught prophetically ...

Thus saithrepparttar 126857 Lord God; Woe untorepparttar 126858 foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

The prophets prophesy falsely, andrepparttar 126859 priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do inrepparttar 126860 end thereof? The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, andrepparttar 126861 deceit of their heart.

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saithrepparttar 126862 Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saithrepparttar 126863 Lord. For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saithrepparttar 126864 LORD.

Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves ... wolves raveningrepparttar 126865 prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but tryrepparttar 126866 spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out intorepparttar 126867 world.

Some taught legally ...

And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent inrepparttar 126868 earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that byrepparttar 126869 word of Godrepparttar 126870 heavens were of old, andrepparttar 126871 earth standing out ofrepparttar 126872 water and inrepparttar 126873 water. Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken awayrepparttar 126874 key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, repparttar 126875 vail is upon their heart.

I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that beforerepparttar 126876 unbelievers. Out ofrepparttar 126877 same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Some were fed spiritual things, but kept it to themselves.

As I live, saithrepparttar 126878 Lord God, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast ofrepparttar 126879 field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, butrepparttar 126880 shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; Therefore, O ye shepherds, hearrepparttar 126881 word ofrepparttar 126882 Lord ...

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, andrepparttar 126883 sons ofrepparttar 126884 alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Forrepparttar 126885 wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who holdrepparttar 126886 truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Some taught others, but didn't apply it to themselves.

Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself?

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denyingrepparttar 126887 power thereof. The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker ofrepparttar 126888 fruits.

Thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not byrepparttar 126889 door intorepparttar 126890 sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, repparttar 126891 same is a thief and a robber. But he that is an hireling, and notrepparttar 126892 shepherd, whose ownrepparttar 126893 sheep are not, seethrepparttar 126894 wolf coming, and leavethrepparttar 126895 sheep, and fleeth: andrepparttar 126896 wolf catcheth them, and scatterethrepparttar 126897 sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not forrepparttar 126898 sheep.

Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband ... For thy Maker is thine husband;repparttar 126899 Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemerrepparttar 126900 Holy One of Israel; The God ofrepparttar 126901 whole earth shall he be called.
