WINNERS AND LOSERS
John 10(KJV) verse 10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
On stage of life,there is always three conspicuous characters that seem prominent-they are villain,the victims,and victors. There is only one person that really fits this role-the devil himself(John 10:10a). There are those people who seem to be villains when actually they are only victims-tools of villain himself. There are also victims who think that their fate is irreversible! There are several people who are actually victors-more shall be written about them below. There is still a fourth character who seems to be invisible but he is always present on stage ever ready to transform any victim into a victor-more shall be written about him below. 2 Corinthians 2(KJV) verse 14 "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest savour of his knowledge by us in every place."
"Every saint has a past,and every sinner has a future."-Oscar Wilde The above quote could be adapted to read as follows:-"Every winner has a past,and every loser has a future." The first part of adapted quote reminds 'every winner' of a past of defeat so that he/she will not glory in himself/herself as a winner but in God who gives us victory through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ-he is mysterious fourth character mentioned above. The second part of adapted quote assures 'every loser' of a future of victory which he/she will experience when he/she trusts in God who gives us victory through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In battles of life,mankind is always divided into winners and losers. But no-one is born into this world as a winner no matter how prominent that person's cradle may be. And no-one has to die as a loser! While transformation from a loser to a winner is a matter of personal choice,the accurate measure used to determine whether one is a loser or a winner is not made by any man. this is reason why human traditions,philosophies,religions,arts,and sciences continue fail all who seek them as a means of change. Colossians 2(KJV) verse 8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after tradition of men, after rudiments of world, and not after Christ."

SMARTVILLE Psalm 1(The Message) verse 1 "How well God must like you--you don't hang out at Sin Saloon, you don't slink along Dead-End Road, you don't go to Smart-Mouth College." Smartville is an international community made up of three groups of people:- 1. The 'smartines' 2. The 'smartlets' 3. The 'smartless' The first group possesses, practices, and propagates a brand of wisdom in all spheres of life including religion. This wisdom is described in scripture below:-
James 3:15 (Amplified Bible) "This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal), even devilish (demoniacal)." The ‘smartines’ hang out at Sin Salon, slink along Dead-End Road, and go to Smart -Mouth College!
The second group possesses, practices, and propagates a brand of wisdom in all spheres of life. This wisdom is described in scripture below:-
James 3:17 (Amplified Bible) "But wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity)." This wisdom is linked to fear of God(Psalm 111:10 & Job 28:28) which comes with knowledge of God(Isaiah 11:2c-3a).This knowledge is personal ,intimate ,special ,unending ,amazing ,and dynamic !It is acquired by everyone(Heb.8:11) who has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour! To receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, a person must:-
* Acknowledge that he is a sinner (a ‘smartine’/’smartless’ indeed)-Rom.3:23.
* He must repent wholeheartedly from his sins-Acts 3:19.
* Believe that Jesus Christ died for his sins-Acts 16:31.
