Written by By Barbara Rose

I wrote this article to bring solace and understanding to any parent who has lost their child. There is a reason “why.”

I understand this pain. I know it feels as if you have lost your soul.

As disaster strikes, as havoc ensues, repparttar turmoil brings forth inward searching, a searching withrepparttar 131192 greatest question asked by humankind: Why?

Why does tragedy befall those who are good? Why does misfortune prey on those who do not seek to find a harsh reality but are subject torepparttar 131193 pain many view as being wrongfully placed - onrepparttar 131194 good, rather thanrepparttar 131195 evil?

The answer to this eternal question contains eternal truth.

The answer is: because those who are good will find a solution, a remedy, so thatrepparttar 131196 tragedy will never strike others or themselves again. They arerepparttar 131197 ones who have a heart, who have compassion, who seek to bring justice and ease into lives in which injustice and tragic hardship previously prevailed.

Tragedy falls onrepparttar 131198 special few so that there can be a solution forrepparttar 131199 many.

You know in your heartrepparttar 131200 pains you have undergone, and you also know all ofrepparttar 131201 good you are bringing or can bring intorepparttar 131202 lives of others as a result.

So this isrepparttar 131203 answer. Why you? Because you chose this as your reality, your sacrifice, with full agreement ofrepparttar 131204 souls of those who have also undergone tragedies that had such a vast impact on your life. They agreed to do this. Their worthy lives acted as catalysts for powerful and positive growth and change, forrepparttar 131205 highest betterment of all.

The Top 10 Things I Learned Lecturing on a Cruise

Written by Susan Dunn, M.A.

Coaching has come of age! Recently I presented enrichment lectures on a Caribbean cruise. Here's what I learned.

1. Nobody inrepparttar audience had heard of coaching.

Our work is cut out for us!

2. People are eager for personal growth and enrichment. Even on a cruise vacation!

What could possibly entice people away from a pina colada byrepparttar 131189 pool? The chance to understand themselves better and find ways to make their lives work!

3. We learn best when it's active learning.

Quizzes, interactive exercises, games and prizes never lose their appeal and are solid teaching devices. Give your audiences plenty of opportunity to tell their stories to others, meet new people, put pen to paper, put into practice what you've just told them, and have fun and they'll learn more -- which is your purpose, after all.

4. It's worth getting up at 5 a.m. to watchrepparttar 131190 day break.

The breaking away ofrepparttar 131191 darkness is even more spectacular thanrepparttar 131192 rising ofrepparttar 131193 sun. And isn't this what we do in coaching? Break uprepparttar 131194 darkness so our clients can rise likerepparttar 131195 sun and shine? What a great profession!

5. Word-of-mouth works.

Going around talking with people individually, one-on-one and giving them personal invitations to attend was what worked (in addition to interesting, well-presented lectures). The audience doubled at each presentation as word got around.
