Where do you Cast?

Written by Kimberly Chastain

“Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.

I don’t know if you have ever been fly-fishing or maybe you have seen it on TV. When you go fly fishing you cast your bait way downrepparttar river and let it float. That wayrepparttar 126481 fish does not see you and hopefully attacksrepparttar 126482 bait. I have that vision when we cast our anxiety on God. Do you give Him your anxieties and let them float away and realize He is in control or do you keeprepparttar 126483 bait close so you can pick uprepparttar 126484 anxiety whenever you want? If a fly fisherman keeps his bait close he will scare awayrepparttar 126485 fish. If he allowsrepparttar 126486 bait to float downstream he is more likely to catch a fish.

I think when we keep our anxieties close God is unable to work and we are unable to even look down stream. Also, when we keep our anxieties close we focus onrepparttar 126487 anxiety and take our eyes off of God. When we give our anxieties to God and leave them there He is more able to work and we are better able to

Your Mission Field At Work

Written by Kimberly Chastain

One point many Christian Working Moms who have been interviewed have made is that they are a shining light in their work place. Whether or not you can speak openly about your faith at work, your co-workers are watching. Are they seeing Jesus in you? Do they see you handle ethical issues in a different manner than other co-workers? Do they see a peace in you amidst all ofrepparttar stress ofrepparttar 126480 job? Do they see your priorities are in order? Although, we are to be workers worthy of our hire we are first and foremost followers of Christ. Do your co-workers see you participating inrepparttar 126481 office gossip or do they see you leaving when those discussions come up? Do your co-workers see you building up or tearing down? Do they see compassion in you that is often woefully missing in this get ahead world we live in?

I know as a Christian Working Mom often it is very difficult to get time alone with God. Are you taking your work struggles to him? Are you asking for his direction in a difficult situation? Are you praying for your co-workers to come to know Him? Are you praying that your co-workers who are Christians to grow in their knowledge of Him?
