What about Potassium?Written by Rolf Rasmusson
What about Potassium?Information on potassium When you read about potassium and senate document report 264 you'll life should be changed forever. You're going to discover that biggest fallacy most people aren't aware of is that if we eat a balanced diet, (the four food groups), we get all nutrients we need to stay healthy and live a long life. The truth is, this has been a matter of public record for past 60 years. Fact is that our farming soils are severely depleted of these so important minerals such as potassium. Without adequate mineral intake whether through supplements or certain foods vitamins our bodies take in are worthless. We need this important mineral as it assists in muscle contraction and in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance in body cells. Various surveys would have us believe that we get adequate amounts of daily intake but in truth how's that possible according to senate document. We're taught that potassium rich food does trick but in reality that really can't be so. Fruits and vegetables are mostly depleted of nutrients – yes they still look good in stores for sure. A little fancy treatment makes good marketing sense for venders but not for us. As we contemplate issues it makes us really wonder who's needs are being met with so many conflicting reports.

Find mineral nutrition onlineMineral nutrition Searching for mineral nutrition information is much easier today than ever before. I remember when we'd have to search manuals, books and do it at library and also searching encyclopedia. Thanks to Senate document 264 truth finally comes out. Much buried of course as its information doesn't support bottom line of retailers. But, to find truth sometimes takes digging and especially mineral nutrition. We've come to discover that many serious health issues including life threatening can be at source of lack of minerals in our diet. Most of us haven't been taught that without these vital nutritional nutrients taking vitamins is useless. Since vitamins are such a large marketing item with plenty of resources we seldom read or see much about anything else. It is critical to our health to understand that depleted soils today do not yield its fruits and vegetables with nutrients they once did years ago. Fast foods haven't helped either, and now we even read of a national epidemic about overweight child. Our kids are starving from lack of good nutrition and most of us aren't doing anything about it.
