"An Emotional Jesus..."

Lately In my email newsletters (available for FREE at http://www.ChristThroughMe.com ) I've been talking about how Jesus has experienced everything that we will ever go through here on earth.

Yes, even in our most trying times we can be sure that our Lord has already triumphed in our particular situation. So we can be comfortable talking to him about our troubles.

This is important and a comforting thing to know. For it's comforting to know you can talk to someone who has been through your situation. More important than comforting feelings is that Jesus showed us way to deal with these emotions.

In last email Jesus got mad at people disgracing house of prayer, temple. So He did right thing and threw them out and was rightly justified in expressing His anger with them.

It's important for me to interject that anger in and of itself is not a sinful emotion, it's a natural one. It will occur, important thing is to be in control of emotion, let it out and recover. Remember that after Jesus stopped selling and misuse of temple grounds He taught them that what they were doing was wrong (Mark 11:17-18).

There is another emotion that I want to focus on in this article though. An emotion so powerful it can hurt worse and cripple more severely than physical pain. That emotion is Sorrow. Sorrow can come in many forms, from many places and can hurt tremendously. So much so that death can seem like a welcomed event..and an acceptable alternative to present circumstances.

Yes, tis true, Sorrow can be worst emotion. Just look at suicide rate in this Country (USA) and you'll see that there are a lot of people that suffer from great sorrow. I'd bet dollars to donuts that you can probably think of someone that you've personally known that has given in to sorrow and taken their life. Such a sad fact, but true (I know it's true for me).

Jesus has experienced horrible sorrow too! And He has showed us way to deal with it! The correct manner to deal with situations that are not turning out way we had hoped, and future seems so bleak.

Jesus taught us to TRUST. To trust in Father's perfect will and trust that He knows what's best for us even when we can't see it , even when it seems like hardest thing to do in world, Jesus taught us to trust and submit to will of Father.

The devil (Lucifer) cleverly devised his plan to be like God by tricking Adam and Eve into eating from tree of knowledge of good and evil instead of The tree of Life.

This made him spiritual opposition to God Himself and total opposite in representing and controlling all that is evil, like God represents and controls all that is good, thus in a since being like most high GOD.

Isaiah 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of morning! how art thou cut down to ground, which didst weaken nations! For thou hast said in thy heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above stars of God: I will sit also upon mount of congregation, in sides of north: I will ascend above heights of clouds; I will be like most High.

He also wants to trick as many of us as possible into sinning and not trusting in God by any means necessary just like he deceived Adam and Eve.

The tree of knowledge of good and evil represents worldly achievements (the way of death) since devil promised eve they would be as gods. Likewise tree of life represents eternal life which is a gift only God has power to offer.

There were two paths, and only two. The tree of eternal Life (of which Adam and eve could have clearly and freely eaten from with Gods blessing) or path that leads to death, tree of knowledge of good and evil which God forbid them from eating from.

The minute Adam and Eve choice to eat from tree of knowledge of good and evil (the path that leads to death) our free will was established in this area.

This free will consists of ability to make a choice whether it be good or evil, right or wrong, prosperous or wasteful and done of your own accord.
