Trick or Treating SafetyWritten by Samantha Olea, http://thebestmoms.com
Halloween is such a fun time of year for kids and adults alike, so its important that we take some precautions to keep it that way! Here's my list of trick or treating tips for your family. Wear comfortable shoes!! Carry a flashlight Wear something with a reflector on it (you can even find reflector tape and paint at your local home improvement store. Go out before dark-especially for little ones. The big kids tend to flood streets later at night making it hard for little ones to trick or treat. Never go into a strangers house, even if they ask you to come in while they go and get some candy. Throw away all homemade or unwrapped treats. I know some people work hard on making great home made treats, but in this day and age its not worth risk! When walking down street, have adult walk closest to road, and children closest to houses. Do not run ahead of adults-its very easy for children to get carried away and accidentally run into road. Do not pet strange animals while trick or treating. Though you really shouldn't ever pet someone's animal with out being invited to do so, you especially shouldn't during trick or treating where your costume or other costumes may be irritating or confusing to animal.

If you love me, you will keep my commandments… In love games we play, and in all aspects of human endeavors, maintaining positive relations with each other is a must, to live in harmony and peaceful coexistence with each other. The surest path to keeping good relations with our fellow humans is to know what their dos and don’ts are, and adhere strictly to same. An infringement of don’ts should be followed by a sincere apology. A blatant refusal to acknowledge our basic differences, thereby stepping on each other’s toes, is indicative of a lack of respect and by extrapolation, lack of love. True love is only found and kept, when both parties realize that they have been born and bred in totally different environments and make accommodations to show tolerance and an understanding/acceptance of each others different proclivities. Naturally, they must have lots in common in first place, to agree to go together. Even twins born of same mother and out of same womb, with lots in common, have a few grey areas they don’t much see eye to eye on; how much less two complete strangers who are in love?
