To the Unknown God

~ Torepparttar Unknown God ~

No Longer Winking

According torepparttar 147157 Bible, one can have a doctorates degree in religious education and still be clueless as to scripture's life applications, as knowing about God is quite different from knowing Him.

Butrepparttar 147158 natural man receiveth notrepparttar 147159 things ofrepparttar 147160 Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor. 2:14

And, unfortunately, it is human tendency to be lazy toward our own spiritual growth; allowing others to tell us what to believe. However, that isn't necessary. You already knowrepparttar 147161 verses. You just need to hear from God as to their application. 2 Tim. 3:14-15

Now, here's an example: "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3

Do we believe that? Do we really believe it? Because if we do, we might also consider this verse paraphrased.

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be clergy, or doctrines, or denominations, or religions: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he isrepparttar 147162 head ofrepparttar 147163 body, repparttar 147164 church: who isrepparttar 147165 beginning, repparttar 147166 firstborn fromrepparttar 147167 dead; that in all things he might haverepparttar 147168 preeminence.

Col. 1:16-18 (par.)

Notice, Who getsrepparttar 147169 preeminence ~ certainly not a preacher, or doctrine, or denomination, or religion ... or whomever else we give to be our guide.

How's that for a shocker? Ok, so maybe you had figured that out, already. But, do you really realize what this means?

There was a purpose for Communism as there is a purpose for Muslims; just like there is a purpose for Jews, Christians, Catholics, Mormons, etc. ~ which likely began withrepparttar 147170 destruction ofrepparttar 147171 tower of Babel and should be a hint that we could actually learn from each other.

Sure, people claiming other faiths have done some pretty horrible things; but, so have some who claimed to be our faith, too. Additionally true, there are also a lot of untruths in other religions. But, news flash, there are a lot of untruths in all religions. Why? Because an abundance of knowledge tends to make one prideful, wherein one's faith is no longer based upon Spiritual discernment.

It took a cross to make peace amidst such diversified faith systems. Col. 1:20-21 And yet, within all faiths continuerepparttar 147172 practice of name calling. We use to call them things like sinner, backslider and hypocrite. But, finally realizing we're guilty ofrepparttar 147173 same things, repparttar 147174 choice of words became more refined terms; like heathen, pagan, and cult.

It is said that Jesus is God while condemning every faith that does not call God 'Jesus'. However, withinrepparttar 147175 same faith system, it is rare to never that God's other names are used ... and He wasrepparttar 147176 God of Salvation even beforerepparttar 147177 New Testament. Ps. 68:20

The bottom line is, when we stand before our Maker, it won't matter what we believed but Who. And praiserepparttar 147178 Lord, Jesus made provision whereinrepparttar 147179 tower to heaven could be rebuilt; only, this time, not so we could be God ~ but so we can 'know' Him.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Forrepparttar 147180 perfecting ofrepparttar 147181 saints, forrepparttar 147182 work ofrepparttar 147183 ministry, forrepparttar 147184 edifying ofrepparttar 147185 body of Christ: Till we all come inrepparttar 147186 unity ofrepparttar 147187 faith, and ofrepparttar 147188 knowledge ofrepparttar 147189 Son of God, unto a perfect man, untorepparttar 147190 measure ofrepparttar 147191 stature ofrepparttar 147192 fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, byrepparttar 147193 sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speakingrepparttar 147194 truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which isrepparttar 147195 head, even Christ: From whomrepparttar 147196 whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according torepparttar 147197 effectual working inrepparttar 147198 measure of every part, maketh increase ofrepparttar 147199 body untorepparttar 147200 edifying of itself in love. Ephes. 4:11-16

Preaching, for Free

Written by Joyce C. Lock

For after that inrepparttar wisdom of Godrepparttar 147156 world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God byrepparttar 147157 foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Co. 1:21

So, here goes some "Preaching, for Free"

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

That atrepparttar 147158 name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things underrepparttar 147159 earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, torepparttar 147160 glory of Godrepparttar 147161 Father. Ph. 2:10-11

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace fromrepparttar 147162 earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. Re. 6:4

Forrepparttar 147163 word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even torepparttar 147164 dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and ofrepparttar 147165 joints and marrow, and is a discerner ofrepparttar 147166 thoughts and intents ofrepparttar 147167 heart. He. 4:12

And when he had openedrepparttar 147168 third seal, I heardrepparttar 147169 third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. Re. 6:5

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will haterepparttar 147170 one, and loverepparttar 147171 other; or else he will hold torepparttar 147172 one, and despiserepparttar 147173 other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Lu. 16:13
