Tips to Photographing Your Trophy FishWritten by Tukto Lodge
When a lake is designated as "trophy fishing only" (or catch and release) it is important for you to be ready to catch your fish, take a prize-winning shot and release your giant back into water for others to enjoy. Before setting out on your trophy trout fishing trip with your fishing partner or guide, keep these few tips in mind. Bring along a good, reliable camera. It doesn't matter if it is digital or 35 mm, but make sure it has an automatic focus feature. Most casual photographers don't need pressure of adjusting settings, so an automatic camera is a good choice. In addition, for sake of safety, it doesn't hurt if your camera is waterproof! With catch and release fishing, ultimate goal is to return fish to water quickly and gently. Touch fish as little as possible and never touch gills. Because you have so little time, be sure person taking picture is ready to go. That means film is in camera, cap is off lens and photographer is holding camera up to his or her eye ready to snap as you are landing that trophy! When you are in boat, sometimes it can be tricky but try to keep camera even with horizon of water. It can be distracting if horizon is on an odd angle. Keep picture as uncluttered as possible. The water, sky and distinct beauty of tundra around Tukto Lodge are background enough!

Inflatable kayaks: easy to use and light.Inflatable kayaks are generally a lot sturdier than most people would imagine. Generally mental image that comes to mind when "inflatable kayak" is said is one that looks like an inflatable toy. However, this is far from case and in fact, some of these inflatable kayaks can even be used for whitewater touring. There are a few benefits to inflatable kayaks that should probably be mentioned first, however. These benefits probably seem relatively straight-forward, but they are all reasons to get an inflatable kayak on their own. First of all, inflatable kayaks are probably most buoyant of any type of kayak. This makes sense, since kayak essentially consists of blown up inner compartments. If you're looking for a kayak that will more than likely stay upright, then this is probably best option for you. You should also consider just how easy it is to move around with inflatable kayaks in contrast to some of other kayak types. First of all, most of available kayaks that are made out of other materials are actually fairly heavy. There are a few exceptions, but for most part, kayaks are at least a little bit heavy and you have to have right rack on your car in order to travel with them.
