Time and your Internet BusinessWritten by John Pryor
TIME and your INTERNET BUSINESSHow many hours per day should you devote to your internet business? We’ve all seen ads trying to tell us that we can make millions in no time by doing nothing if we just sign up for XXX. We probably also recognize by now that this is nonsense. If you truly want to build an internet-based business that can improve your life, you will have to invest some time in doing so. It need not be a lot of time. Many of available online business programs allow you to build a business with truly impressive profits in as little as two hours a day. Of course, you can build business more quickly if you spend more hours per day—up to a point! Logically, you should be able to build your business twice as fast at four hours per day as you can at two hours per day. My own experience, like that of others whose opinions I value, does not necessarily support that. I find that after first two or three hours of sitting in front of my computer, my productivity falls rapidly. Your span may be different, but bottom line is same: Two hours of work produces two hours’ worth of results, regardless of how many more hours you spend looking at what you’ve accomplished. The times of day that you choose to devote to your business may also be important. I personally know at least one man who conducted nearly all his business after his family had gone to bed for night, between eleven at night and two in morning. This man currently has an online business making more money each month than I would have ever made in a year as an employee of company I used to work for. For myself, I have to revisit thought of efficiency. I just don’t get much done in an hour of working after midnight. I find that best hours are shortly after dinner, when daily demands on my attention have been met, and I’m not yet too tired. You may, of course, choose whatever hours work best for you—after all, that’s why you’re building your own business! Whatever times you choose, be consistent! You must choose your time frame, and give your best for that time—every day of every week!

Are You Using Right Form of Energy? As we near end of summer, here is a question I have for you, “Are you using right form of energy to grow your business?” Are you having trouble growing your small business as fast as you want? Are you making all right moves and still business just inches forward? Read this article and see if you are using right form of energy to grow your small business?Head Energy My consulting experiences have taught me there are two types of business energy. I call first type “head energy”. This is energy that comes from wanting to do better or more with your small business. •You want more profits. •You want more customers. •You want better marketing. Head energy is very powerful. It can inspire. It can achieve dreams. It can drive you forward. Head energy also has limitations. Head energy promises fulfillment in future. Before future arrives you must sustain yourself along way. If you fail to sustain head energy, your hopes and aspirations tumble down. They become “the good idea that was never achieved!” Gut Energy I call second type of small business energy “gut energy”. This energy involves your current business worries; your current business mistakes; business issues that need fixing right now. •What is decreasing your profits now? •What is preventing you from having more customers now? •What are your current marketing mistakes? I call this gut energy because it sits right in your gut, churning away. This is extremely powerful energy because it is so immediate. It is right now! It calls for immediate attention. Fix situation now! Gut energy is not as glamorous as head energy. It is always more fun to dream about your future than to do hard work of fixing your current mistakes. But when you want to see immediate improvements in your business, turn to your gut energy.
