The "Spring Cleaning" Angel

Written by Dot McGinnis

The "Spring Cleaning" Angel decided it was time to come to my house, repparttar other day.

For weeks, I knew that it was time for her arrival. But, I tried not to think about it.

Finally, one morning, I was able to, reluctantly, pry my mouse from my fingers (not an easy thing to do when you are online as much as I am) and replace it with a bucket, scrub rags, and wall cleaner. I really don't mind spring-cleaning. It’s justrepparttar 126417 getting started thing that’s really hard for me.

I had no problem, at all, withrepparttar 126418 walls inrepparttar 126419 room I was doing; until I came torepparttar 126420 doorway. There it was, a little brown, faded, haloed, spot aboverepparttar 126421 doorframe. As hard as I tried, with all my might, to scrub it off I could not remove it. "Hmm. Wait a minute. What is going on here?" I asked myself.

I tried everything (every kind of detergent, oil soap, all-purpose cleaner I could find) but nothing, absolutely nothing, would work. Oh, well, I'll just have to paint over it, I guess. It wasn't like it wasrepparttar 126422 whole wall or anything. It was only a little brown spot, aboverepparttar 126423 door, that stood mocking me. So, I went on, about my way, scrubbing walls until I happened to glance up atrepparttar 126424 next-door frame and there it was, again; that same curious, little, brown, faded, haloed, spot!

This was really beginning to get weird, now. What on earth was going on? Why wouldrepparttar 126425 dust fairy leave her calling card just above my doorway and nowhere else? And why, forrepparttar 126426 life of me, can’t I get it off?

Ahhh! Wait a minute. I know what that is! That’s notrepparttar 126427 dust fairy that left that there, I laughed to myself. That’s anointing oil! I looked all overrepparttar 126428 house and, sure enough, there it was (over every doorway);repparttar 126429 same silly, little, brown, spot stood guard ~ a remnant of my going, from room to room, asking God's blessing and protection on our humble abode.

Hybrid Solar Eclipse 2005, next 2023

Hybrid Solar Eclipse 2005, next 2023…

Not long ago, I told you that I was “looking torepparttar heavens” for guidance. No I’m not an astrologist, and I do not setrepparttar 126416 course of my life byrepparttar 126417 zodiac; however, I do read Matthew 24: 29, often.

It says, “Immediately afterrepparttar 126418 tribulation of those days, repparttar 126419 sun will be darkened, andrepparttar 126420 moon will not give its light, andrepparttar 126421 stars will fall fromrepparttar 126422 sky, andrepparttar 126423 powers ofrepparttar 126424 heavens will be shaken.” That’s interesting, is it not?

Unless you live on Mars, you know that tomorrow April 8, 2005, Pope John Paul II will be laid to rest. He, no doubt, was a powerful statesman, pontiff, and godly man while he lived. His legacy will live throughoutrepparttar 126425 history of man. I bless his memory and look forward to his successor leadingrepparttar 126426 Roman Catholic Church further intorepparttar 126427 twenty-first millennium. I believe God is doing a wonderful work throughrepparttar 126428 Roman Catholic Church.

Moreover, there is another significant thing happening tomorrow. Says Fred Espenak, NASA’s GSFC, “On Friday, 2005 April 08, a hybrid eclipse ofrepparttar 126429 Sun will be visible from within a narrow corridor which traversesrepparttar 126430 far Southern Hemisphere. The path ofrepparttar 126431 Moon’s shadow begins southeast of New Zealand and stretches acrossrepparttar 126432 Pacific Ocean to Panama, Colombia and Venezuela…”

Fred Espenak’s web page records these words, “A hybrid eclipse is a unique type of central eclipse where parts ofrepparttar 126433 path are annular while other parts are total. This duality comes about whenrepparttar 126434 vertex ofrepparttar 126435 Moon’s umbral shadow pierces Earth’s surface at some points, but falls short ofrepparttar 126436 planet along other portions ofrepparttar 126437 eclipse path. The curvature of Earth’s surface brings some geographic locations alongrepparttar 126438 path intorepparttar 126439 umbral while other positions are more distant and enterrepparttar 126440 antumbral rather than umbral shadow. In most cases (like in 2005),repparttar 126441 hybrid eclipse begins annular, changes to total forrepparttar 126442 central portion ofrepparttar 126443 path, and then converts back to annular towardsrepparttar 126444 end ofrepparttar 126445 path. However, some hybrid eclipses may be annular only atrepparttar 126446 beginning (e.g. – 2013 Nov 03) and atrepparttar 126447 end (e.g. – 2386 Apr 29) ofrepparttar 126448 path.”
