The Sky is FallingWritten by Joyce C. Lock
Do you suppose expression 'it's raining cats and dogs' originated with flood? For 120 years, Noah preached, "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" They laughed at Noah. Who had ever heard of rain? It is not all that different, today. "The end is coming! The end is coming!" But who, in this generation, has ever seen God's wrath? Besides, that is for lost … right? That is not what God said (Ep. 5:6). The Bible was not written for lost (1 Co. 2:14). God told us whom He meant (II Ch. 7:14). In Co. 3:6, God makes another reference to children of disobedience. Perhaps, He knew we would not get it first time? Not very many people survived flood. They did not get it either. Instead of researching every instance of sin to make sure we are covered, there is an easier solution. The opposite of disobedience is obedience. God counts faith as obedience and righteousness (Ro. 16:26, Ga. 3:6). Two for price of one; now, that is a pretty good deal!

For those who walk in flesh, law is given. Some only see in black and white. And, yet, there is a more excellent way. Others see in color and, when they do, that color is love. "Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God." 1 John 3:21 The Bible tells us to love our enemies, pray for them, turn other cheek, and many like things. It also tells us to stand against evil. There are times to pluck up that which was planted, to shake dust off our feet, and more. If we hold to law, we remain captive in circumstances that God gave us other provisions for. We still adamantly believe in law. The difference is that we trust God to reveal to us which law He requires at any given time. What ever God speaks to us is ultimate/absolute law. Praise God, He is a Living God! "Neither have I gone back from commandment of his lips; I have esteemed words of his mouth more than my necessary food." Job 23:12 The whole entire law is complete and fulfilled through following this one verse: thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. If you do that, you have covered God's intent for every law within Bible.
