"The Real Abortion Debate" Cutting to chase… liberals believe that government has no business in medical decisions between doctor and patient. When 1973 Roe v Wade decision gave women choice over their own bodies, abortion became a private decision. Here is where defendants dive in with their religious interference. Arguing that fertilization of an egg is creation of life, they say that abortion is taking of that life; it is murder. Thus any abortion is wrong. They are “pro-life” – as if any sane person is “anti-life”. They do not hide their intention to reverse Roe v Wade. The defendants employ guerilla tactic of incremental legislation on abortion. They try to ban a medical procedure they fatefully call “partial birth abortion”, and want to pass laws that would force doctors of pregnant teens to inform girl’s parents if she chooses to have an abortion. Each incremental step carves into fundamental right to choose. The defendants’ endgame: make abortion completely illegal again. If they truly believe that is going to stop abortions, they’re living in some weird dreamland. Making abortions illegal will place even more lives at risk. Women will be forced to adopt drastic solutions that not only abort fetus, but jeopardize a woman’s health and life. Taking away a woman’s reproductive rights and subordinating them to fetus is not only unconstitutional, but dangerous to women’s health. Even after criminalizing abortions, defendants will probably place some exceptions in any law. One will be: in case of incest or rape, abortion should be allowed. Let’s see…it’s okay to kill a fetus under circumstances they define, but not under those pro-choice people define. Is it me, or is there a disconnect here? Another exception inevitably will be to allow abortion if health of mother is at risk. This, too, creates problems. It places doctors in a difficult position. Not all risk situations are black and white. What if doctor decides to abort and is wrong? With threat of liability for a judgment call hanging over his head, a doctor might hesitate, might make a choice that kills both mother and fetus. Or he could be arrested for performing an unnecessary abortion.

Do a little people-watching, next time you’re in grocery line. There’s always someone with a cart, bulging with every conceivable kind of diet food. Flats of turkey bacon prop listlessly against fat free half & half and Olestra cookies. At first glance, this is clearly someone who is completely health conscious, diet minded, and watching what they eat. But peek beneath basket to lower rack – where you normally find dog food, kitty litter, and toxic chemicals – and you will see full case of Mountain Dew. Diet foods and junk foods, rubbing wrappers in very same cart might suggest mental illness, delusional optimism, or some other form of brain strain. However, unbeknownst to rest of us, these folks are actually brilliant physicists, cleverly disguised as profoundly confused shoppers, so as not to attract any attention. They throw you off their trail with very characteristic behaviors, like chasing a candy bar with a Diet Coke. Yes, we can now release fact that these scientists are members of little know branch of their field known as gastro-physics, and they are actually testing a high-level theory regarding matter and anti-matter. Just as matter can be annihilated by anti-matter, they show how calories can be eliminated, obliterated, and just forgotten about altogether if you just consume them with their Universal opposite.
