Please visitrepparttar link to adopt a troop and pray for him or her daily. I have adopted my troop and he is inrepparttar 126973 army. Do visitrepparttar 126974 link: http://www.presidentialprayerteam.org/adoptatroop.php

Think on this thought first: If you only had two (2) weeks and two (2) days to live what changes would you make? My thoughts have been on my mother(my mother passed away on March 7, 2000) because two years ago that is all I would have had left to see her.

My only resource that I depend on isrepparttar 126975 Inspired Written Word of Yahweh (God). I am not a pastor nor do I hold a clergy position but I have been appointed a gift for my journey/mission.

Let's journey back in time between 701 and 681 B.C. and visit Jerusalem to meetrepparttar 126976 Prophet Isaiah. The Prophecy of Isaiah is one ofrepparttar 126977 world's greatest masterpieces. Isaiah will tell us that his name means "Salvation of Jehovah"

Isaiah 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom isrepparttar 126978 arm ofrepparttar 126979 Lord revealed?

verse 3...He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

verse 4...Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

verse 5...He was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities:repparttar 126980 chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

verse 6...All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; andrepparttar 126981 Lord hath laid on himrepparttar 126982 iniquity of us all.

Isaiah wasrepparttar 126983 greatest ofrepparttar 126984 Writing Prophets and he writes about God's judgment and salvation. Isaiah remindsrepparttar 126985 people to be on Alert for future threats inrepparttar 126986 northern kingdom and danger inrepparttar 126987 south. During my review of biblical lessons that referenced "Isaiah" I could even see where it could be applied to me today for more detail study and I do recommend readingrepparttar 126988 entire book of Isaiah for February through March.

We are enteringrepparttar 126989 "Lent..Passover..Easter" season. During Lent our attention should be on worshippingrepparttar 126990 Lamb of God, who takes awayrepparttar 126991 sin ofrepparttar 126992 world. Lent is a time of special weekday opportunities to worshiprepparttar 126993 Lamb that was slain for us.

Why Should I Pray? By Stanley T. Crawford

We should pray to God for at least two important reasons. First of all, God has instructed us to pray. Second for a purely selfish reason, prayer causes things to happen. Another way of looking at this is “prayer gets results, or cause and effect.”

Several ofrepparttar 126972 scriptures fromrepparttar 126973 bible exhort us to pray to God (I Thessalonians 5:16-18, James 1:5 – 8, James 5: 13 – 18, and Philippians 4:6 & 7). This is just a sampling ofrepparttar 126974 verses that encourage us to pray. Prayer provides a way for us to communicate with God. We can pray to God by usingrepparttar 126975 Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:8-13) or we can merely speak to God. God is constantly aware of what we do and what we say. He is omnipotent. Yet, we must exercise our faith by acknowledging God.

Praying is a way that we communicate with and acknowledge God. Of course, we need to be sincere in our prayers to God. God, unlike man can not be fooled. This is because God knows all, sees all, and understands all. God weighsrepparttar 126976 hearts of men and women. He knows purity and hypocrisy and degrees in between. A prime example of God’s ability to determine sincerity occurred when Jesus watchedrepparttar 126977 people give money torepparttar 126978 treasury. Many people gave money based on their abundance, however one poor widow gave all that she had (Mark 12:41-44). This is a judgment ofrepparttar 126979 heart. Only God is able to make a pure judgment about another person’s heart.
