The Holy Spirit is our Teacher

Written by Michael Bradley

Now that we know God and Jesus want to release Their knowledge direct to us from Their throne room in heaven - how is this knowledge actually transmitted to us? This will now bring us intorepparttar next set of Scripture verses.

These next three verses will tell us that this knowledge is given torepparttar 148282 Holy Spirit - and thenrepparttar 148283 Holy Spirit, who is already living onrepparttar 148284 inside of us, will berepparttar 148285 one to transmit all of this knowledge to us! The Holy Spirit will thus become your personal guide and personal teacher in this life. It will be His job to impart and transmit all of this knowledge direct to you once you start to seek after it.

Here are three powerful verses from Scripture showing us thatrepparttar 148286 Holy Spirit will berepparttar 148287 one to transmitrepparttar 148288 knowledge of God direct to us.

  1. "But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. Forrepparttar 148289 Spirit searches all things, yes, repparttar 148290 deep things of God. For what man knowsrepparttar 148291 things of a man exceptrepparttar 148292 spirit ofrepparttar 148293 man which is in him? Even so no one knowsrepparttar 148294 things of God exceptrepparttar 148295 Spirit of God. Now we have received, notrepparttar 148296 spirit ofrepparttar 148297 world, butrepparttar 148298 Spirit who is from God, that we might knowrepparttar 148299 things that have been freely given to us by God." (1 Corinthians 2:10)
  2. "Butrepparttar 148300 Helper, repparttar 148301 Holy Spirit, whomrepparttar 148302 Father will send in my name, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you." (John 14:26)
  3. "However, when He,repparttar 148303 Spirit of truth, has come, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH ..." (JOHN 16:13)
The very first verse laysrepparttar 148304 foundation when it says that no one knowsrepparttar 148305 things of God exceptrepparttar 148306 Holy Spirit - and thatrepparttar 148307 Holy Spirit has been given to each and every one of us in order to revealrepparttar 148308 things that God wants to reveal to us. In other words, it isrepparttar 148309 job ofrepparttar 148310 Holy Spirit to releaserepparttar 148311 knowledge of God direct to us!

The second verse confirmsrepparttar 148312 first verse when it says thatrepparttar 148313 Holy Spirit will be our teacher and that He will "teach us all things." Noticerepparttar 148314 word "all" - that He will teach us "all things."

Think about what is being said in this verse. This statement being made by God in thatrepparttar 148315 Holy Spirit can teach us all things is a maximum intense statement being made by God. God is telling us that He is willing to go more than overboard in order to teach us things and to transmit His knowledge to us. Thenrepparttar 148316 verse even goes one step further when it says thatrepparttar 148317 Holy Spirit can literally bring back up to your remembrance, when you may need it,repparttar 148318 knowledge that He has already given to you!

Growing in the Knowledge of God

Written by Michael Bradley

This first verse completely setsrepparttar stage for you to be able to receive knowledge fromrepparttar 148281 Lord. This first verse is literally telling us that God is wanting us to grow inrepparttar 148282 knowledge of Him and His Son Jesus.
"... but GROW inrepparttar 148283 grace and KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18)
This verse is only one short sentence long, but a lot is being said in it. After we get saved, God expects us to start growing inrepparttar 148284 knowledge that He wants to transmit to us. Andrepparttar 148285 only way we can spiritually grow is by seeking afterrepparttar 148286 knowledge that will cause this growth to occur inrepparttar 148287 first place! This right here is why a lot of Christians do not make much spiritual growth overrepparttar 148288 course of their lives after they initially get saved - because they are not seeking afterrepparttar 148289 knowledge of God that will cause this growth to actually occur.

Fear ofrepparttar 148290 Lord isrepparttar 148291 Beginning of Receiving Knowledge and Wisdom

Now that we know that God wants us to grow inrepparttar 148292 knowledge that He wants to give to us, these next two verses will tell usrepparttar 148293 first step that needs to be met before God will even begin to release His knowledge to you. These two verses are specifically telling us thatrepparttar 148294 fear ofrepparttar 148295 Lord isrepparttar 148296 beginning of being able to receive knowledge and wisdom fromrepparttar 148297 Lord. Here arerepparttar 148298 two verses:

  1. "The fear ofrepparttar 148299 Lord isrepparttar 148300 beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." (Proverbs 1:7)
  2. "The fear ofrepparttar 148301 Lord isrepparttar 148302 beginning of wisdom, andrepparttar 148303 knowledge ofrepparttar 148304 Holy One is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)
Notice that in both of these verses it says that fear ofrepparttar 148305 Lord isrepparttar 148306 "beginning" of being able to receive knowledge from God. In other words - if you don't have a healthy fear ofrepparttar 148307 Lord - then chances are, God is not going to be working with you very closely in releasing His knowledge to you. This first condition right here is another reason why many of God's people are not getting more knowledge, revelation and wisdom being transmitted to them.

What exactly is God meaning when He says we must have a "fear" of Him? He obviously does not want you to be so afraid of Him that you then become to afraid to approach Him for prayer and to enter into a healthy personal relationship with Him. What I believe God means byrepparttar 148308 phrase "fear ofrepparttar 148309 Lord" is that we are to have an extremely reverent respect for Him and all of His ways!

Many Christians have a good healthy fear of God Himself, as they know that He is all powerful and that He is God Almighty Himself. But where many Christians are getting into trouble off of these two verses is that they do not have a healthy fear of all of God's ways. And one of God's ways for us is that we try and stay out of sin - especially some of them more serious type sins.
