The Golden Retriever and YOUR BusinessWritten by Pamela Geiss
What does a Golden Retriever have to do with your business, you ask? For those of you who aren't familiar with them, Goldens have an outlook on life that is quite incredible. They never give up. I had a Golden named Ruff who developed a malignant tumor on his corotid artery (the one in neck that sends blood from brain back down into heart). I noticed that he was eating, but losing weight, so I took him to vet. No veterinarian would touch him. Too risky, they said. Chemotherapy doesn't do well with dogs, so only choice we had was to love him and play with him and keep him as healthy and happy as we could for as long as he was with us.Approximately a year after we discovered tumor, this once beautiful dog weighed about 45 pounds and looked like a refugee. But you looked in his eyes and you saw happiness and and a love of life. He still ate and ran and played. The veterinarian was amazed. He said he had seen dogs not half as sick as Ruff lay down and give up. And he never gave up even when it got so bad that we didn't have heart to put him through any more.

Spending your days clicking to get traffic? Getting traffic that's not targeted? Getting no results from your traffic? There is an answer. There is a way to set up your site so you get highly targeted traffic. The first thing you need to do is to get your site listed at all search engines. You need to go to each one and hand-submit your site. There is software out there that will do submissions, but you must be careful. Each search engine has its own rules and (here's kicker) they change often! So even if software you use today works, it might not work tomorrow, and your site should be submitted MONTHLY. The first time you submit, expect anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks before you get listed, IF you get listed. Getting listed depends on your site being set up properly and your doing submission following that particular search engine's rules. You also need to be sure your meta tags on your site pages are optimized. Meta tags are one area I have noticed that is most neglected and also most important as far as search engines go. You need keywords that are relevant to your page. I have seen many sites with 40, 50 or more keywords on their pages. This will without a doubt get you banned at search engines. It is known as spamming search engines and is not allowed. I also see sites that have no meta tags. Without them, you won't get listed at all. If you don't know how to do meta tags, you should get a reputable business who handles that to do it for you. Don't necessarily go for lowest price - this is time-consuming work and needs to be done by someone who specializes in it and knows what he/she is doing.
