The Gateway Arch is a Jefferson National Expansion Memorial which symbolizes
America's expansion to West. It stands at 630 feet high and is currently
tallest memorial in US - even taller than Statue of Liberty.
As you enter city of Saint Louis, this three-sided enormous structure can be
easily seen looming above skyrise buildings of city. Made of stainless
steel with its free standing structure, it holds as number one tourist
attraction of Saint Louis.
It is fascinating to note that arch can accommodate people inside its
structure. It has two trams each located on its North and South ends which can
carry passengers up to its tallest peak where visitors can view whole city
