In addition to native variations by locality or over time, there are often several possible transliterations intorepparttar 130706 Roman alphabet used for English, Arianrhod Aranrhod - Arianrod.

A star and moon Goddess, Arianrhod was also calledrepparttar 130707 Silver Wheel becauserepparttar 130708 dead were carried on her Oar Wheel to Emania (the Moon-land or land of death), which belonged to her as a deity of reincarnation and karma. Her consort Nwyvre 'Sky, Space, Firmament' has survived in name only. Caer Arianrhod isrepparttar 130709 circumpolar stars, to which souls withdraw between incarnations, thus she is identified as a Goddess of reincarnation. The Mother aspect ofrepparttar 130710 Triple Goddess in Wales, her palace was Caer Arianrhod (Aurora Borealis), orrepparttar 130711 secret center of each initiate's spiritual being.

The moon isrepparttar 130712 archetypal female symbol, representingrepparttar 130713 Mother Goddess connecting womb, death, rebirth, creation. (Albion, repparttar 130714 old name of Britain, meant 'White Moon'). The Celts "know wellrepparttar 130715 way of seas and stars", and counted time not by days, but by nights, and made their calendars, such asrepparttar 130716 famous Coligny Calendar, not byrepparttar 130717 sun, but byrepparttar 130718 moon. Ancient astrologers took their observations fromrepparttar 130719 position ofrepparttar 130720 moon and its progress in relation torepparttar 130721 stars -repparttar 130722 starry wheel of Arianrhod.

In Celtic Mythrepparttar 130723 Goddess has three major aspects:repparttar 130724 maiden, repparttar 130725 mother andrepparttar 130726 crone. These three representrepparttar 130727 three stages in life of a woman. Blodeuwedd isrepparttar 130728 flower maiden, Arianrhod representsrepparttar 130729 mother and The Morrigu at last isrepparttar 130730 crone. These three aspects ofrepparttar 130731 Celtic goddess may have different names in different regions and regional legends. For example, Morrigan also takesrepparttar 130732 mother role at times.

Arianrhod is said to be able to shapeshift into a large Owl, and throughrepparttar 130733 great Owl-eyes, sees even intorepparttar 130734 darkness ofrepparttar 130735 human subconscious and soul. The Owl symbolizes death and renewal, wisdom, moon magick, and initiations. She is said to move with strength and purpose throughrepparttar 130736 night, her wings of comfort and healing spread to give solace to those who seek her.

Arianrhod isrepparttar 130737 daughter ofrepparttar 130738 Welsh Goddess Don andrepparttar 130739 sister of Gwydion. Gwydion was counselor to King Math who could only remain alive if his feet lay inrepparttar 130740 lap of a virgin at all times except when he led his armies into battle. During one such battlerepparttar 130741 virgin who had held King Math's feet was raped, and so there was need for a replacement. Gwydion recommended his sister, Arianrhod. King Math put her virginity torepparttar 130742 test by asking her to step over his magic wand. As she stepped overrepparttar 130743 wand she gave birth to a boy child with yellow hair. The child cried loudly, and Arianrhod, humiliated, ran forrepparttar 130744 door, dropping yet another small object onrepparttar 130745 ground inrepparttar 130746 process. Before anyone could catch a glance atrepparttar 130747 object, Gwydion wrapped it and hid it inside a chest. King Math then performed rites forrepparttar 130748 yellow haired boy child, naming him Dylan. Dylan immediately ran forrepparttar 130749 sea and receivedrepparttar 130750 sea's nature and was never seen again.

How to Succeed in a Macho World

Written by Valerie Vauthey

Did you know that there was a time when women ruledrepparttar world? Whenrepparttar 130691 most revered figures were females: goddesses, empresses, and mothers.

but Three thousand years ago, repparttar 130692 vast majority of humanity abandoned goddesses for gods as our ancestors settled and developed agriculture. This wasrepparttar 130693 end of direct female domination.

Or was it?

Thanks to their formidable inner-strength and to their unflinching determination, women soon started to develop their very own talent to get what they desired, be it a husband, a child, wealth, a house, and more.

Women understood early on that reaching their goals was far more important thanrepparttar 130694 path they took to get to them.

Women understood before time that they should never let men feel they lost face or have been manipulated.

Women fundamentally knew that men needed to believe they were responsible for their success to fully enjoy it.

Women have always been aware that confrontation was notrepparttar 130695 way to victory (ultimately).

How do these secularly developed techniques translate into today’s world?

How can we thrive in today’s macho business environment?

There are several ways to succeed. They might all be combined, or they can exist individually...,which makes it fairly easy inrepparttar 130696 end to succeed in a macho world!

MyPrivateCoach conducted a survey where we asked 256 people if they agreed or not on 8 statements andrepparttar 130697 results are exciting! (With a 50/50 men to women ratio.) The vast majority of women think they need to behave like men to be successful whereas men believe that what makes a woman successful is actually her femininity!

Just before sharingrepparttar 130698 results, Let one of our surveyed people, Rebecca, sum uprepparttar 130699 fine line women are walking on when doing business in a macho world: “If women are strong, they are ball busters, and if they show any weakness or softness, they are little girls trying to play in a man’s world.”

-1- Use feminine attributes (Men: 90% - Women: 25%)

Interestingly enough (and should I say, as expected), men and women are absolutely not in agreement on this statement.

Little girls’ education gives us some undeniable advantages to compete in a dominantly male group or company: better communication skills, better empathy with colleagues and clients and most importantly, better cooperation and better understanding ofrepparttar 130700 modus operandi of our work mates.

We also have a body, a way of expressing our femininity, which men believe we try to hide more often than we should. This is even truer since lawsuits against sexual harassment started to take off. However, businessmen are begging us: be yourself! You can dress professionally and in all your femininity without being provocative. Be a woman and be proud of it (keep in mind though that a little pinch of perceived vulnerability won’t hurt a bit). Yet, I do notice that many female executives and CEO (still too rare) inrepparttar 130701 software, legal, banking and high-tech industry wear rather conservative suits (usually pants) and short hair cut... maybe something to think about…is thisrepparttar 130702 reason for their success? Or are they trying to avoid despising comments like: “I know how she climbedrepparttar 130703 ladder, short skirt and sexy attitudes”.

-2- Talk about facts, not feelings (Men: 95% - Women: 30%)

Again, it all goes back to our childhood games and women tend to give more weight to non-tangible elements than facts in a business relationship. While this attitude can be a great sales closing tool, more often than not, it will hamper our efforts inrepparttar 130704 day-to-day corporate world.

Strive at not letting your emotions take over facts. Do not take things personally.

When you foresee your feelings may prevent you from considering facts straight or negotiating successfully, sit back, relax and reformulate your thoughts and ideas in a logical and rational way. Rather than saying: "I like this idea", try to (think) and say: "This idea will work because X YZ logical reason or marketing reason that we know about this audience". This will make wonders in a male/female business relationship. If we look at what men and women think about this statement, we get an enormous gap! Almost all men agree onrepparttar 130705 fact that facts matter! Women don’t seem to realize how much of a showstopperrepparttar 130706 “facts vs. emotions paradigm” is.
