THE CATFISH WERE BITTING

I got my two fishing poles inrepparttar 133243 water at 07:10. The Ohio was around 28 feet a little muddy and still running fast. Around 07:30 I got a good bite on a chunk of roast beef. I missed it, may have been a garr for it did not come back torepparttar 133244 bait.

My bobber went under at 07:45 and stayed under. I pulled andrepparttar 133245 fished pulled back hard. I knew right then it was a nice size fish atrepparttar 133246 other end. Withrepparttar 133247 fast and deep waterrepparttar 133248 fish stayed down for some time. I just kept my 10 foot rod high inrepparttar 133249 air to wear him down. Got him inrepparttar 133250 net O.K. and up ontorepparttar 133251 barge. A nice blue cat 29 inches long and 10.7 pounds. Took two photos of us and he was a chore to hold up torepparttar 133252 camera.

At 08:30 my dead line took off I hooked my first channel cat ofrepparttar 133253 season. When I got him in he was 261/2 inches long and topped out at 8.7 pounds. That is a nice size channel cat for this part ofrepparttar 133254 Ohio River. I also got two photos of this one.

Wayne Rooney - A New Boy Wonder for English Football?

by Chris Towland www.Football-Nut.co.uk

Until England's untimely exit atrepparttar hands ofrepparttar 133242 host nation (and a Swiss Referee),repparttar 133243 player making allrepparttar 133244 newspaper headlines during Euro 2004 in Portugal was Wayne Rooney, English football's latest 'boy wonder'.

Still four month's shy of his nineteenth birthday, Rooney's four Euro goals ..... two against Switzerland (including his shot that rebounded offrepparttar 133245 post only to hitrepparttar 133246 Swiss keeper and bounce intorepparttar 133247 net) and two further superb goals against Croatia, set English hearts racing with hopes of a first major tournament win since holdingrepparttar 133248 World Cup aloft in 1966.

Those hopes, of course, were eventually brought crashing to earth by a combination of a Wayne Rooney injury, an extremely dubious disallowed goal and traditionally poor penalty taking byrepparttar 133249 English team (including one from our Captain that Jonny Wilkinson would have been proud of!)

No-one can question Wayne Rooney's performances for his country, repparttar 133250 quality of his football at international level or his incredible goalscoring ability, but have Rooney's performances inrepparttar 133251 blue shirt of his own club, Everton, been as sparkling as those when wearing his national colours? ....... And what doesrepparttar 133252 future hold for our 'Roonaldo'?

Rooney's Premiership debut arrived early inrepparttar 133253 2002/2003 campaign when he becamerepparttar 133254 youngest Premier League player atrepparttar 133255 tender age of sixteen. Two other records quickly followed ..... Firstly, repparttar 133256 two goals he scored in Everton's Worthington Cup victory over Wrexham gave Rooneyrepparttar 133257 title of Everton's youngest-ever goalscorer, a record that had previously been held by Tommy Lawton. Secondly, in October 2002 and atrepparttar 133258 age of 16 years and 360 days, a cracker of a goal that beatrepparttar 133259 England goalkeeper David Seaman inrepparttar 133260 last few seconds ofrepparttar 133261 game against Arsenal, made Rooneyrepparttar 133262 youngest-ever Premiership scorer!

Many England fans will be surprised to hear however, that apart from a few very notable occasions, Wayne Rooney's performances inrepparttar 133263 Premiership have been less than spectacular as he has often seemed unable to duplicate his England form onrepparttar 133264 domestic stage!
