The Broken Heart

Written by Daniel Nzenwata

I once attended a party meant for broken hearts. It was a party that had so much sadness painted all over it. Such wasrepparttar color of sadness that even a blind person could see it from a distance. The atmosphere ofrepparttar 101285 day was filled with incomprehensible gaze and all I could hear wasrepparttar 101286 sound of silence.A silence so deafening. Everyone inrepparttar 101287 party wanted to be left alone in solitude, they acted like their life was utterly intolerable, as if they had no hope of reprieve, like they did not want to anticipate for tomorrow to come. When I looked around me I saw pieces of hearts scattered here and there, hearts that I knew were whole before, and were used to conjure up thoughts of joy and gladness. Hearts that were used to feelrepparttar 101288 beauty and wonders of our surroundings. It was so disheartening for me to discern that some people had cried their eyes out and their tears had formed a pool beside them. A pool that was threatening to drown them.

Heartbreak is an event that is engraved onrepparttar 101289 memory of a person whose heart has been broken in such a fashion that it keeps on huntingrepparttar 101290 mind of that person. Day will follow day andrepparttar 101291 days that will follow may become a nightmare. It is not strange that we feelrepparttar 101292 hurts and pains that will accompany such days, if we delve into psychology, we will come up with an obvious answer;repparttar 101293 heart is a sensitive part of us. But we can overcome and forget if we changerepparttar 101294 circumstance. We can do this byrepparttar 101295 imagination ofrepparttar 101296 mind. We can userepparttar 101297 mind to harnessrepparttar 101298 joy we once felt andrepparttar 101299 propensity torepparttar 101300 happiness we once shared with tenderness and concern.

Byrepparttar 101286 early 1900's, European beaded bags cost about $100.00, which was a very large sum atrepparttar 101287 time. You can usually tellrepparttar 101288 age of a beaded bag based on certain indications such asrepparttar 101289 size ofrepparttar 101290 beads (bags fromrepparttar 101291 mid-1800's are made with very small, fine beads - about 1,000 beads per square inch). The motifs of bags (their designs) have changed overrepparttar 101292 years. Funeral scenes were common on beaded bags inrepparttar 101293 early 1800's but from 1820 to about 1860, beautiful outdoor scenes, historical landmarks, and romantic interludes were depicted.

The major design scheme in these early bags consisted of 3 defined horizontal layers knitted intorepparttar 101294 bag. The bottom usually had a tassel inrepparttar 101295 middle unlessrepparttar 101296 bottom was square, which usually meant that fringe would be used instead. The middle section (the largest) had illustrated scenes. The top had a pattern that complimentedrepparttar 101297 entire design and usually closed with a drawstring or clasp. These beaded bags were cherished and passed down from generation to generation.
