The Blessings Of God

THE BLESSINGS OF GOD

Ephesians 1:3  Blessed berepparttar God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

BLESSINGS or BLESSING...

This scripture isrepparttar 144586 only scripture verse inrepparttar 144587 New Testament ofrepparttar 144588 Bible, whererepparttar 144589 word "Blessings" is used. However, this word has become a much different thing inrepparttar 144590 teachings ofrepparttar 144591 Christian church today. As discussed inrepparttar 144592 "The Gospel of Convenience", and "Investing Christian" articles here on this site, American Christianity teaches that money, possessions, stock market holdings, "toys" and all manner of material possessions are "the blessings of God". We too used to accept this as truth. We have recently been convicted byrepparttar 144593 Holy Spirit , and instructed by God, to speak out against this principal as a heresy, and a deception ofrepparttar 144594 Devil, that it has taken some 30 - 40 years for our enemy to foster into church doctrine. We have encountered some truly amazing responses in this endeavor, inrepparttar 144595 form of, in some cases, condemnation from fellow Christians. We have been told we are "lost", "out there", "unthankful to God".

The concepts ofrepparttar 144596 "blessings of God", and "stewardship" are now doctrines inrepparttar 144597 church. They includerepparttar 144598 teaching that your possessions are bestowed "blessings", or "gifts" from God, and that it is you're duty as a Christian, to be a faithful "steward" of those things (I.E. that you are to maintain them, upgrade them, increase them, or nurture (love) them.) However, repparttar 144599 word "blessings" only appears inrepparttar 144600 above scripture, and inrepparttar 144601 following verses, as "blessing"...

Luke 24:53 And were continually inrepparttar 144602 temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

Romans 15:29 And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come inrepparttar 144603 fullness ofrepparttar 144604 blessing ofrepparttar 144605 gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it notrepparttar 144606 communion ofrepparttar 144607 blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it notrepparttar 144608 communion ofrepparttar 144609 body of Christ?

Galatians 3:14 Thatrepparttar 144610 blessing of Abraham might come onrepparttar 144611 Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise ofrepparttar 144612 Spirit through faith.

Hebrews 6:7 Forrepparttar 144613 earth which drinks inrepparttar 144614 rain that cometh oft upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessing from God:

Hebrews 6:14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

Hebrews 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inheritedrepparttar 144615 blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

James 3:10 Out ofrepparttar 144616 same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

1 Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

Revelation 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy isrepparttar 144617 Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.

Revelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and onrepparttar 144618 earth, and underrepparttar 144619 earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sits uponrepparttar 144620 throne, and untorepparttar 144621 Lamb for ever and ever.

Revelation 7:12 Saying, Amen: blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

4 timesrepparttar 144622 word is used as meaning "Praise or Worship", ( Luke 24:53,Revelation 5:12,5:13, and 7:12). 4 times it is used as meaning "salvation" ( Romans 15:29, 1 Corinthians 10:16, Galatians 3:14,andrepparttar 144623 second use in 1 Peter 3:9). 3 times it is used as meaning "Approval" or "Love" ( James 3:10, Hebrews 6:7 andrepparttar 144624 first use in 1 Peter 3:9). Inrepparttar 144625 last 2 uses, ( Hebrews 6:14, and in Hebrews 12:17), Paul was discussingrepparttar 144626 Old Testament patriarchs, andrepparttar 144627 circumstances surrounding their "inheritances" which as we know, wererepparttar 144628 "blessing" (anointing) of God, asrepparttar 144629 rightful leaders of Israel.

In no context in scripture, other thanrepparttar 144630 context of ancient Israel, which we all know WAS in fact an earthly kingdom, isrepparttar 144631 word "blessing" used to indicate land, or material possessions. Sorepparttar 144632 use of "blessings" as a doctrine in which people are given material wealth, possessions, and increase, as a gift of God, is out of context withrepparttar 144633 Church of Jesus Christ, (a Spiritual kingdom), and withrepparttar 144634 Bible as a whole. Sincerepparttar 144635 Old (earthly) covenant is fulfilled in Christ, its principals do not apply torepparttar 144636 Church, except where Jesus expanded on them.

STEWARD OR STEWARDSHIP...

Also, inrepparttar 144637 entire New Testament, repparttar 144638 word "Steward", only appears inrepparttar 144639 following verses...

Matthew 20:8 So when even was come, repparttar 144640 lord ofrepparttar 144641 vineyard saith unto his steward, Callrepparttar 144642 laborers, and give them their hire, beginning fromrepparttar 144643 last untorepparttar 144644 first.

Luke 8:3 And Joannarepparttar 144645 wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

Luke 12:42 Andrepparttar 144646 Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

Luke 16:1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; andrepparttar 144647 same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

Luke 16:2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou may be no longer steward.

THE GOSPEL OF CONVENIENCE

Of allrepparttar articles I have written lately, this article isrepparttar 144585 most troublesome and heavy on my heart and spirit, and will undoubtedly bringrepparttar 144586 most critical responses from Christians. It is in support ofrepparttar 144587 thoughts expressed in The Coming 4th Reich! article here on this site, asrepparttar 144588 situations in this article definerepparttar 144589 apostasy that has takenrepparttar 144590 21st century Church.

The subject of this document is so unpleasing torepparttar 144591 21st century American Christian, I believe that by writing it, I will step across a threshold of "Main stream evangelical Christian", to a "radical", a "dissenter", "out there" and even "lost" inrepparttar 144592 eyes of some folks who read these words. So be it. (James 2:1  My brethren, have notrepparttar 144593 faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, repparttar 144594 Lord of glory, with respect of persons.)   If I have learned anything inrepparttar 144595 35 years of being brought up and taught in this faith, it is that in most cases, repparttar 144596 word of God andrepparttar 144597 truth of Jesus Christ are foolishness inrepparttar 144598 eyes of modern man, and they do not fare so well inrepparttar 144599 "marketplace" of public opinion. Most Christians would agree, that speakingrepparttar 144600 word as it is revealed by God, has never inrepparttar 144601 history ofrepparttar 144602 world been accepted byrepparttar 144603 masses, and often times even by those who lay claim to membership inrepparttar 144604 kingdom of God. I have also learned that we who namerepparttar 144605 name of Christ are called not to be silent, when we seerepparttar 144606 work of Satan flourishing inrepparttar 144607 world around us, and we are called to speak with unwavering conviction, repparttar 144608 word of God andrepparttar 144609 teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, with no regard forrepparttar 144610 consequences of that speech. I saw an interesting commercial on TV today, in which a young girl is standing on a dock, and a woman is drowning inrepparttar 144611 water in front of her. The girl is just standing there, watching her drown. The commercial is about when friends see friends having drug and alcohol problems, they wouldn't just stand by and watch, they would help! Inrepparttar 144612 same spirit, a Christian who sees another caught inrepparttar 144613 vile deceptions ofrepparttar 144614 evil one, wouldn't just stand by and watch that person be led to destruction, they would speak out! I am compelled to write this, andrepparttar 144615 other articles on this site, because of this principal.    What brother or sister inrepparttar 144616 Lord would stand by and watch his friends be deceived byrepparttar 144617 devil and not speak out? What man would see his brother about to fall into a ditch and not warn him? Ezekiel 3:18  When I say untorepparttar 144618 wicked, Thou shall surely die; and thou give him not warning, nor speak to warnrepparttar 144619 wicked from his wicked way, to save his life;repparttar 144620 same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 3:20  Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. and again Ezekiel 33:6  But ifrepparttar 144621 watchman seerepparttar 144622 sword come, and blow notrepparttar 144623 trumpet, andrepparttar 144624 people be not warned; ifrepparttar 144625 sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require atrepparttar 144626 watchman's hand. and yet again, Ezekiel 33:8  When I say untorepparttar 144627 wicked, O wicked man, thou shall surely die; if thou dost not speak to warnrepparttar 144628 wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. I think it is interesting that this is stated a number of times in Ezekiel, I wondered why God would repeat himself so many times on this item in Ezekiel. I realized it is because he is saying something different in each instance. Inrepparttar 144629 first instance 3:18, he mentionsrepparttar 144630 wicked. Inrepparttar 144631 second instance 3:20, he mentionsrepparttar 144632 righteous, inrepparttar 144633 third instance 33:6, he mentionsrepparttar 144634 people, and inrepparttar 144635 final instance 33:8, he returns torepparttar 144636 wicked. I think there are no accidents here, I think God is making it clear, that no matter who we may see in error, (the wicked, repparttar 144637 righteous, or all ofrepparttar 144638 people) it is our call to warn them, and that if we do not, they will perish in their sins, but their blood will be required at our hands.
