The Bad Side of a Slide PresentationWritten by Rafael Van Dyke
A couple of years ago, I went to a conference for programmers in Arizona, where I had opportunity to attend several one-hour classes. Virtually all of instructors used slide presentations to get through material. Though there was nothing wrong with material that was covered, slide presentations they used really did nothing to help them in their session. It would have been just as good for them to print out their speech and give it audience a copy to read along with. There were a select few with slide presentations that actually aided in their session. In fact, they were so good that after a while I paid more attention to presenter than slide presentation (for me, that an accomplishment!); but they were rare. I’m sure it was because they were programmers; but all same, allow me to outline why they were so bad: A Slide Presentation Is Not Presentation The first mistake most presenters made was to think that a detailed slide presentation would compensate for poor communication skills, when nothing could be further from truth. Some of them almost had their entire lecture in presentation. A slide presentation is to be used as an outline to keep everyone on track, not as your teleprompter. No matter how much you know about a topic, reading most of your presentation makes you look unprepared and certainly not an expert in your field. A Slide Presentation Is Not a Book This goes along with prior point of having too much material in a slide presentation. You can’t simply take copy and paste from your book and try to make it into a slide show. The audience doesn’t come to a session to read a book on screen … you have to summarize it for them. This means that you won’t be able to give them all of your knowledge in one hour, and you’ll need to cut out some things. If they want more, then maybe they’ll read your book.

Article: Audixp with side-window review . By: zoneview My first computer case I used to have was blank ATX case with 3 exposed bays and 3 hidden bays. In fact, I was really pleased with what I had at that time. Actually, I was really proud of what I had. But, when i went to computer fair located in Pomona, Ca , my mind completely changed . A beautiful modified case with see-through window was caught into my attention. It was a hand-made case. The cost for that amazing case was $300. I was surprised with case and also with high-rocket price. The only thing in my head was "Why would i spend $300 for stupid case? ", "Is that worth it ?" . Few booths away from case was windows kit which you can use to modify computer case's side window. It actually fitted into my needs and it was cheap compared to modified case I had seen before. I bought it for and tried to modify it myself. You don't know how hard it was for me to cut window open. I got scratches all over my hand. The window was ruined. I actually had to thrown entire kits away because it didn't work out really well for me. I don't blame my awkward skill but it is truly hard for ordinary people to modify it on hard material. I finally decided to go with case. It is expensive in first place, but i love it . It has neon light, see through window and it comes with 250W power supply. The entire system glows in dark with beautiful green light can catch people attention, especially my friends. They are all impressed. Because of its high-end look and high price, see-through side window is getting more and more popular. But price for window is still high. The price range for it is from $30 to $60. Recently, Ahanix releases one of special computer case with see-through window. It comes with affordable price and best in performance. It is an incredible good-looking case. They named it Audixp. I don't know how they come up with name but I like how it sounds. Because of many good features Audixp has, I decided to write a review for it. I hope you'll like Audixp after reading this article. Audixp comes in two colors : Dark Silver and Silver as shown at bottom from left to right. Both have see-through windows. As I know Audixp first generation doesn't come with side-window. You have to be careful when purchasing case somewhere else. They might have first generation without window but it costs same. I also see side-window sold at many places. But price is really high. The regular price in market about $25-35 for a single side-window. It might not even fit with your computer case. One thing I would like people to aware of is window kit and side-window are not same. The kit is to transform side panel to side-window.
