Techno Witch II, Magic With Your PCWritten by Sam Stevens
You've heard of applied science, well how about applied Magick. The personal computer is just a tool after all, so in theory you should be able to apply ancient traditions to modern ways. Here are a few ways that I think you can use your PC to practice metaphysics. The Gods, Goddesses and energies that oversee running of you computer include Mercury (Hermes) God of Communication, Ariadne (the Weaver), Archangel Gabriel (the Angel of Illumination, Vachu (the Hindu Goddess of Mystic Speech) or Chango, God of Thunderbolts. If you are having computer problems light a red and blue candle to honour Mercury (for server and email problems), a purple candle to honour Ariadne (for site problems), Temple or Lotus incense to access Vachu (who can help with forwarding files), a yellow candle to access wisdom of Archangel Gabriel (to figure out how to get a program running) or a red candle to honour Chango (for problems with electricity). When sending a resume or an important file …you can practice a bit of magic by creating a symbol for yourself to hide somewhere in file or in email. This symbol can represent success to you or prosperity. For instance $ would be an obvious one. Try creating, with a series of letters, numbers or symbols that are significant to you --a sigil that is attached to your emails. It is easy to create a sigil. Take a phrase such as "Money Come To Me" and shorten it to "MCTM" or "mctm" and put it in your tag before you send an important document. There are many sites on web that teach you how to make a more obscure sigil using numbers and letters- just type word sigil into your search engine. Once you create sigil, blow it up into 24 point on your computer and "charge it' by focusing your intent onto symbol. Keep master sigil in a file and attach a 9-point version to bottom of files or emails. Has someone sent you a nasty email? Don't respond with words. Try this version of a reversal spell. Send email back to them nine times. If nine times seems too much, send it back three times. This follows rule of sending back bad energy to its sender three times three times three. After reading their own words, nine times, this may cause sender to rethink their malevolence. Also effective, is sending sender back a BLANK email. Press reply, erase all text and charge blank screen with what you want to say. Send it. The person who sent you bad email in first place will probably react with confusion and some fear. NOBODY likes to open a blank email. The blank email has a way of clearing problem.

Wreaths are like rings. They represent Universal Circle ("Let circle be unbroken …" as song lyric goes) and also idea of circulating love, wealth and prosperity for yourself and neighbours. Usually they are hung on front door, over fire place or over dining room table to commemorate special occasions or changing of seasons. To make frame for your wreath you will need strong thread, glue and branches from appropriate tree. Try to make your wreath from branches you find on ground, however if you can't, be sure to thank tree if you end up breaking off any its limbs. However, probably easiest way is to buy a pre-fabricated frame for it at Walmart or a local craft store. Most craft stores sell very nice circular frames made from varnished grape vines that look very natural and authentic. A wreath can be complicated and hung with a cornucopia of herbs, fruits and flowers or it can be as simple as a bunch of pussy willows braided together and formed into a circle. Below I have made a few suggestions for different wreaths you can make to suit different purposes.LOVE DRAWING WREATH For this you all you need is some kind of circular armature, or above mentioned grape vine wreath. However if you want to make your own circle, branches from any fruit tree (apple, cherry, or orange) are perfect. Leave as many leaves on branches you can and make sure they are thin and pliable enough so you twist them into a circle. Once you have constructed circle decorate it with dried roses. Pink and red are best colours. The darker red, more sexy wreathe. You can dry your own roses in advance. However, if you have no dried roses available, fabric flowers will work just as well. Tie buds of roses into wreathe and then decorate it with pink, red and white ribbons, Although kind of lush and girly, it is designed to bring love into your life. PROSPERITY DRAWING WREATH This little wreath is beautiful, simple, classy and it smells great. Use a grapevine armature and intertwine sprigs of basil, rosemary, thyme, parsley, sage, and bay leaves. All of these herbs draw wealth to home. You may attach small oranges or kumquats. For an added dash of spice to your life, stick each orange with pins which have been threaded with cloves - an orange stuck with cloves is an ancient way of drawing money to you fast. CHINESE PROSPERITY DRAWING WREATH Use dried or fresh red, orange and yellow chrysanthemums, which symbolize autumn, protection and money. With this one you can use a Styrofoam board backing to affix flowers to backing. Or you can tie them to a grapevine armature. Decorate with red ribbons. PROTECTION WREATH Take long thin branches of holly that still have berries on vine and braid and twist them into a circle. Holly is known to protect from evil spirits and bring blessings to home. Decorate with a white ribbon.
