Targeted Traffic - How Will You Achieve It?

Written by Matthew Zavadil & David Huizar

Wouldn't it be great if your website was listed onrepparttar first page when your potential customers look for what you sell?

What if you hadrepparttar 118601 very top position when they typed "your product category" into MSN, Yahoo or Google?

If you've had your website up for even one week, you've realized that getting torepparttar 118602 top ofrepparttar 118603 search engines is no easy task. The competition is fierce, isn't it? And you have to constantly keep up withrepparttar 118604 search engine rules and regulations to keep your listing.

Don't get us wrong. Search Engine Optimization is a key to our strategy and should be for you, too.

(We've seen some internet "gurus" out there that teach that you don't need to submit torepparttar 118605 search engines anymore because of "pay-per-click" engines. We couldn't disagree more & recommend you stay away from such advice!)

But getting torepparttar 118606 top ofrepparttar 118607 free listings can take months. What do you do if you need to start making money now?

USE "PAY-PER-CLICK" ADVERTISING!

We feel there has never been a greater way forrepparttar 118608 "little guy" to compete withrepparttar 118609 "big guys". It doesn't matter what industry or niche you are in. Or what product or service you are offering.

Yes, you do have to put out a little cash. But for as little as $.05 to $.10, you can do what every website owner is desperately trying to figure out.

Have you ever heardrepparttar 118610 saying, "Build it & they will come?" Inrepparttar 118611 brick and mortar world, this may work. But if that is your internet marketing strategy - You need to adjust what you're doing now!

As a website owner, you need to find ways to have your customers find you. You must learn to drive traffic to your site.

Not just any traffic, TARGETED TRAFFIC. If you sell cars, you don't want someone looking for flowers to visit your site. You wantrepparttar 118612 person looking to buy a car now, right?

OK, how does this Pay-Per-Click thing work?

You bid on a specific "keyword" or keyword phrase that a customer would type into a search engine to find your product or service. As mentioned earlier, you could bid as low as $.05 or $.10 at places like Overture or Google. So if someone likesrepparttar 118613 ad you have listed, clicks your ad and is linked to your site, you only pay your $.10 or $.25 or $.50 - whatever you bid, you only pay if they actually click YOUR ad and go to YOUR website!

Do You And Your Website Have Credibility?

Written by Dean Phillips

I recently received an unsolicited e-mail from some company offering me their search engine optimization services for $199. Even though I had absolutely no interest inrepparttar offer, just out of curiosity, I tried clicking onrepparttar 118600 URL they provided in their e-mail. The URL didn't work, so I decided to check out this company withrepparttar 118601 various search engines.

Incredibly, they were nowhere to be found! I couldn't find them on Google, Yahoo, Dogpile, anywhere! That's because they didn't really exist. They never did. They were just another one ofrepparttar 118602 many prevalent e-mail scams out there.

The point is, even though I had zero interest in their offer, had I been interested, this company's credibility was totally shot, for two reasons: First of all, for spamming me and secondly for obviously being a scam at best.

Another time, I was surfingrepparttar 118603 Internet, checking out different business opportunities to review for one of my clients, when I came across this company selling "turnkey" website packages for $1295 and up. As I was readingrepparttar 118604 information aboutrepparttar 118605 various packages they had to offer, I came across their various addresses and telephone numbers.

Again, after doing some checking, I discovered those addresses didn't even exist. In addition, repparttar 118606 company was based in Israel andrepparttar 118607 only type of payment they would accept were wire transfers.

Anyway, there were more than enough red flags and alarm bells for me to getrepparttar 118608 picture pretty quickly. This company was an obvious scam and I advised my client of that fact.
