Talk the TalkWritten by Myrtis Smith
Word Count: 438Summary: 5 practical ways to improve your communication skills. ============================================================================ Talk Talk Do you know why toddlers throw temper tantrums? They are angry, they are frustrated, they want something, but they have a limited ability to verbally express themselves. On flipside, most influential leaders in business and politics are successful because they know exactly what to say, how to say it and when to say it. They have an uncanny ability to paint a picture and persuade people to buy into their vision. Unfortunately, most people are more like a toddler than they are a leader. Miscommunication runs rampant in our relationships and work environment. We know what we are thinking, but we aren't able to put those thoughts into words. We can't find words that fit emotion we are experiencing or idea we want to convey. So we, as adults throw our own version of a temper tantrum using silent treatment, insults or resentment. Most of us can't find right words, because our communication skills are too limited. Here are 5 ways to improve your communication skills: 1. Read more. Fiction, biographies, magazines, newspapers, just about anything. You will be able to pick up new words and see them naturally used in context. 2. Speak slower. Give your mind time to search for appropriate word and use it at right time. Have you ever had experience where you were babbling on and on not quite saying what you mean, only later to have right words come to you? The words will come to you when create space for that to happen.

How to BOOST and GENERATE more income into your business By: Janet L. HallWhen was last time you sat down and reviewed your business plan? Have you ever done a business plan? Today, right now, why not just sit down and write a simple plan of where you want your business to go and what you need to do to get it there. Why not sit down, write out what you want you business to accomplish and what it will take to meet those wants. Here are ten questions to ask yourself while planning: 1.Do you have a product and are you offering it in every form of media possible? (book, e-book, booklet, e-booklet, articles, disk, CD, DVD, video, audio) 2.Can you make a product? 3.Do you have a niche for your products or services? 4.Is there a niche you haven’t thought of or tried? 5.Do you have an associate, partnership, or joint venture program or participate in any? 6.Are you getting publicity you deserve? 7.Do you give interviews? 8.Do you have something you can talk about, train others to do, or want to become a presenter? 9.Do you network at right places, with right people, at right time? 10.Do you volunteer in your community?
