Taking The Coach Approach

Written by Diana Kennedy, LMT

When you use what you go through to grow through, you takerepparttar coach approach. I am suggesting that you hire your own counsel. After all, who else knows your dreams, goals, and intentions better than you do? Who else has access to your inner compass? Yes, you have an inner compass. And it guides you alongrepparttar 105681 river of life. When we pay attention to our emotional responses and our own ‘self’ talk, we are using our inner compass. It’s called living life fromrepparttar 105682 inside out. It’s using our brain for a change. That’s right, use your own mind to create positive changes within you.

Both being aware of how we feel and listening to our self-talk serve a purpose. The inner compass provides us with a powerful feedback mechanism, similar to a navigational system on an airplane. It lets us know whether or not we are on course, how far off course we are, and how much correction we need to make in order to reach our intended destination (and to achieve our goals). Learning to use these tools, we learnrepparttar 105683 art of coaching our self!

You may have heardrepparttar 105684 phrase, “It’s not that you got off track that matters, it’s how fast (and gently) that you get back on track.” So, when it comes to your goals and intentions, what is important is not whether you fall down, but what how you handle it when you do. Is your ‘Inner Coach’ doing its job well? Is it helping you get back up again? Or is it beating you up for falling down to begin with?

Getting Out of the Zone!

Written by Damien Senn

We’ve probably all heardrepparttar famous movie quip, “why don’t you wait here while I slip into something a little more comfortable”. It’s a comment to make most of our ears (particularly male ones!) stand up on end withrepparttar 105680 anticipation thatrepparttar 105681 film has actually taken a turn forrepparttar 105682 better. In real life however, slipping ‘into’ something more comfortable can often lead to outcomes that are anything other than desirable.

To create a compelling life, often what we need to do is ‘slip out of comfort’ and into something a little more challenging, a little more exciting and a lot more rewarding!

What isrepparttar 105683 ‘Comfort Zone’?

The ‘Comfort Zone’ is a situation where a particular level of ‘non strenuous’ effort produces a fairly certain and familiar result, albeit in most cases, a pretty average one.

As our species evolves, we seem to be preoccupied with living inrepparttar 105684 comfort zone. I mean who can imaginerepparttar 105685 extreme torture one might experience from getting up offrepparttar 105686 couch to change channels or to walk downrepparttar 105687 street to pick up a pizza! The sad thing is that this state of lethargy seeps intorepparttar 105688 way we liverepparttar 105689 rest of our lives.

The attraction ofrepparttar 105690 comfort zone can be quite compelling because ofrepparttar 105691 common human fear ofrepparttar 105692 unknown. Lets face it, when it really comes down to it, most of us don’t really like surprises. A probable average result is often much preferable torepparttar 105693 possibility of an outstanding but uncertain one.

What most people don’t realise is that getting out ofrepparttar 105694 ‘Comfort Zone’ gives yourepparttar 105695 opportunity to slip intorepparttar 105696 arena ofrepparttar 105697 ‘Pleasure Zone’.

Why aren’t more people successful?

I heard a very successful entrepreneur and motivational speaker askedrepparttar 105698 question “Why aren’t more people successful?” He responded by saying that it’s “because it takes real skill to die of starvation in countries such asrepparttar 105699 UK, US and Australia.”
