THE MOTHER'S DAY MIRACLEWritten by Irvin L. Rozier
The Mother's Day Miracle, story number two (out of 50) from my book, My Walk with Lord, www.selahbooks.com, barnes and noble, amazonII Samuel 12. 22, 23: "And he said, while child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that child may live? But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me." One Mother's day, after church, I was laying down taking a rest when phone rang. A Christian friend of mine said, "There is trouble at cemetery, would you go see about it?" I felt presence of Holy Ghost and immediately drove to cemetery. I got out of my car, looked around and there was not a soul in sight. I began to pray and seek Lord for purpose of my being there. After I prayed, Lord spoke to me and said, "See that little baby's grave. I want you to go over to it and stand by." As I stood by baby's grave, I sensed presence of Lord. Five minutes passed by, ten minutes, 20 minutes, and Lord said, "Have patience." After 30 minutes of waiting, I heard sound of a car approaching. I looked up and saw a woman that I was acquainted with in earlier years. She came right to spot where I was standing. That baby was hers and she was missing child on Mother's day. I began to talk to her and I told her that she couldn't bring her baby back but she could join her child in Heaven. She began to tell me all her troubles, her disappointments in life, her family problems, and her financial problems. As she began to unload, I felt compassion of Lord beginning to well up in me. Her family was feuding, her brother was sick, and she couldn't afford to call him.
| | JOHN KERRY WINS ELECTION, PREDICTS CHRISTIAN PROPHETWritten by Mark B. Replogle
Pastor Juan Ortiz with Occludado Hermandad, of Mexico, made this prediction on October 14, 2004. Forget poll numbers and debates, God has told him who new president of United States will be this November. This bold prediction has sparked much heated debate within Christian Church about prophecy and whether God really speaks to any man or woman today. There are even some people saying that to question Pastor Ortiz' prediction amounts to racism and is judgmental. No one disputes that a prophet can make a correct prediction of a future event. So when that future event comes to pass as predicted, is that prophet a true prophet? Everyone knows answer is; not necessarily. This is because in Deuteronomy chapter 13, verses 1-5, Bible tells us that false prophet is one who after making a correct prediction of a future event, then attempts to have other people worship a God other than God of Old Testament, who is Father of Jesus Christ. Thus, prediction is secondary to call to worship God. So a prophet can make a correct prediction of a future event, and then try to get other people to worship a god other than god of Bible. The Bible tells us reason God allows this to happen is because he wants to see whether His people are really loyal to Him. If they went ahead with that false prophet to worship some other god, then those people would have broken first two Commandments. Those state that God's people shall have no other gods beside Him, and they shall not worship any other god. Thus, there is no such thing as diversity of faith traditions. Period.
