My first experience with a spyware BHO based infection was several months ago. I had gone through all of usual steps with client’s machine to clean it. Ad-Aware was run, Spybot: Search and Destroy was as well. Nothing looked suspicious in system’s startup. All appeared well, but it wasn’t.After extensive testing and no further symptoms I returned computer to my client’s home. I hooked it back up, and dialed internet. Everything so far was progressing smoothly. But, as SOON as I loaded Internet Explorer: BAM same pop-up advertisements and other annoying things started happening again. With much embarrassment I had to take computer back to my office and try again. It was all Internet Explorers fault. Microsoft Internet Explorer comes with a feature that is designed to add third-party functionality to their browser. It’s actually a very good idea. Unfortunately, it now gets taken advantage of. The producers of spyware know that many people now have spyware removers installed on their computers. They also know that quite a few people have ability to check what is in their start-up. Because of this, BHO’s are crafted so that spyware lies dormant until Internet Explorer is opened. Then it can start its dirty work.

Since digital cameras have become popular, more and more people are learning how to upload photos to their computer. Many of these photos are cherished memories such as pictures of our children, grandchildren, pets, or vacation shots. Most of us want to be able to display our favorite pictures as background wallpaper on our computer screens, but not everyone is aware of how easy it is to accomplish this. The following instructions will show you how to turn your favorite photos into desktop wallpaper.For Windows Users: Windows XP: Right click on photo name or icon. Click on option that says, "Set as desktop background". That's all there is to it! Windows 98, 95 or NT: Right click on photo name or icon. Click on option that says, "Set as Background". That's all there is to it! For Mac Users: If you've got System 8.5 or higher: Go to Apple menu and select Appearance Control Panel. Click on Desktop tab. If you already have wallpaper on your desktop, click on Remove Picture button to remove your old wallpaper. Now use Select Picture button to select image you want to use. Then, press Set Desktop button and close window.
