Sports View for February

Asrepparttar NBA reachesrepparttar 132980 midseason point most ofrepparttar 132981 talk is ofrepparttar 132982 MVP race, with many tabbing Steve Nash asrepparttar 132983 early favorite. My question is can a guy who is not evenrepparttar 132984 best player on his team winrepparttar 132985 MVP? (Shawn Marion isrepparttar 132986 best player onrepparttar 132987 Suns.) Yes I will concede Nash deserves some credit for makingrepparttar 132988 players around him even better, and liftingrepparttar 132989 team to another level. But where wouldrepparttar 132990 Cavs be without Lebron James, or wouldrepparttar 132991 Heat even be a playoff team, let alonerepparttar 132992 #1 seed without Shaq?

The other most interesting thing inrepparttar 132993 NBA inrepparttar 132994 early going isrepparttar 132995 collapse of some ofrepparttar 132996 favorites. Many so-called experts had picked Minnesota to finally make it torepparttar 132997 promised land, and come out ofrepparttar 132998 Western Conference. Of courserepparttar 132999 Timberwolves are onrepparttar 133000 outside looking in atrepparttar 133001 playoff picture right now. (Forrepparttar 133002 record my pick was notrepparttar 133003 T-wolves, butrepparttar 133004 Spurs).

Asrepparttar 133005 baseball silly season winds down, all ofrepparttar 133006 major moves already made, I thoughtrepparttar 133007 one signing that went underrepparttar 133008 radar wasrepparttar 133009 Red Sox signing Matt Clement; my pick for best value signing ofrepparttar 133010 off season. (In depth baseball preview coming soon)

Randy Moss walking out onrepparttar 133011 Vikings duringrepparttar 133012 final minutes of their game againstrepparttar 133013 Redskins should berepparttar 133014 final straw. The Vikings should seriously be shopping Moss this off season. Its about time people recognize that this is not Moss’s team, but has become Duante Culpeppers’.

How to launch your kayak

Written by Jakob Jelling

Launching your kayak does not have to be difficult as long as you know what you’re doing.

When it comes to launching your kayak, there are a few important decisions that you must make. The first thing you should decide is whether or not you want to launch your kayak fromrepparttar land, or onrepparttar 132979 water. You can even launch your kayak from a dock, though that is usually a bit harder to do than launchingrepparttar 132980 boat fromrepparttar 132981 beach, or on dry land.

The two main methods of launching your kayak fromrepparttar 132982 land consist ofrepparttar 132983 regular launch, and of “wet-footing” it. Wet footing means that you load up your kayak inrepparttar 132984 water so thatrepparttar 132985 bottom will not rub againstrepparttar 132986 sand or rocks that might be onrepparttar 132987 beach. You should definitely use this method to launch your kayak if you are going to be launching from a rocky beach, or any other situation where there might be objects that can harm your kayak inrepparttar 132988 sand.

After all, while most kayaks are generally designed to be fairly sturdy, it is always possible that they could be damaged. This is especiallyrepparttar 132989 case if they are loaded up on land, and then dragged over rocks. When launching your kayak fromrepparttar 132990 water, you should make sure that you are able to put everything into your kayak that you want to use. You should probably loadrepparttar 132991 lighter objects into your kayak when you are still on land, as well, since they won’t cause any extra harm to your kayak, and it will make getting in a lot easier once you are inrepparttar 132992 water. If you decide to try launching your kayak this way, make sure that you practice a little bit first. That way you’ll be able to get into your kayak quickly and easily, and you won’t fall.
