Sinister plot to immortalize Arafat's teachings and leadership, or sentimental goodbye among those who live for death?

"People on this night are going to be on several different levels. No doubt we are onrepparttar lowest level, so we are hoping in this night to attainrepparttar 126710 honor and illumination granted in it. When we reach a higher level and as it is a holy night inrepparttar 126711 heavens as well, we will begin to sense something [ofrepparttar 126712 great power being manifested] on this night. Whoever is atrepparttar 126713 highest spiritual level must be present for this night inrepparttar 126714 Divine Presence ofrepparttar 126715 Lord." http://www.crescentlife.com/spirituality/laylat_al_qadr.htm

"Sources inrepparttar 126716 defense establishment believe tomorrow will berepparttar 126717 day on whichrepparttar 126718 Palestinians will ask to disconnect Arafat from life support and announce his death. Tomorrow night marks Lailat al-Kader,repparttar 126719 night Muslims believe God revealedrepparttar 126720 Koran torepparttar 126721 prophet Mohammed. The death ofrepparttar 126722 Palestinian leader on that day will, therefore, be symbolic." http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/498629.html

"The bill specifically forbids Arafat from being buried anywhere in Israel. "Because of his disease,"repparttar 126723 bill reads, "the State of Israel allowed Arafat to leave forrepparttar 126724 sake of medical treatment. This bill requests a ban on his return to Israel or torepparttar 126725 Palestinian Authority areas, whether to stay or to pass through. The bill also wishes to prevent his burial in these areas, lestrepparttar 126726 site turn into a pilgrimage attraction, a symbol, and a source of inspiration forrepparttar 126727 war against Israel's existence."" Arutz-7 news: Tuesday Nov 9, 2004

""We chose Ramallah because it is close to Jerusalem, where we are hoping to bury him inrepparttar 126728 near future," said Hassan Khraisheh, deputy speaker ofrepparttar 126729 Palestinian Legislative Council and member of a special committee entrusted with overlookingrepparttar 126730 funeral arrangements. Palestinians said that after Arafat would be buried there, a mosque and monument would be built insiderepparttar 126731 compound." http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/Printer&cid=1099973628375&p=1078113566627

"Sha'ath said there is no talk of removing Arafat from life support. "We are not really believers in euthanasia. The man is not suffering; he is in a coma ... It's out ofrepparttar 126732 question that anybody is thinking of taking any such decisions," he said." http://edition.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/11/09/arafat/index.html

Waiting tillrepparttar 126733 Night of Power to pullrepparttar 126734 plug on Arafat's life support would have effectively placed him onrepparttar 126735 "highest spiritual level" quoted above, and therefore, "inrepparttar 126736 divine presence of" allah. However, asrepparttar 126737 PA officals didn't remove his life support, even his burial in Ramallah, complete with a mosque and monument to boot, will do one of two things inrepparttar 126738 minds and hearts of Muslims worldwide who revered Arafat in this life.

1) Arafat will be elevated to prophet status, and his teachings, sayings, decrees, etc, spread throughoutrepparttar 126739 Islamic world, and be followed even more devoutly than in his lifetime. Thus ensuring PA leadership, that their goals to wipe outrepparttar 126740 Jews and Christians wherever they may be found, will be carried out in even greater numbers, dedication, and determination than inrepparttar 126741 past.

Hasten to fast???

Written by Dony Peter

Today, isrepparttar end of Ramadan, repparttar 126709 holy month of fasting for Muslim brethren all overrepparttar 126710 world. I have always been amazed byrepparttar 126711 steadfast observance of fasting, that these brethren undertake especially underrepparttar 126712 strenuous requirements of abstaining from even drinking water from daybreak torepparttar 126713 sighting ofrepparttar 126714 moon at dusk, while going about their normal daily tasks.

However, what I would like to discuss does not only concern Muslims, but also others from various faiths, where fasting is a norm (and this accounts for most ofrepparttar 126715 religions, and is seen as a means of purifying oneself).

While fasting basically implies abstaining from eating, repparttar 126716 spirit ofrepparttar 126717 fast requires abstinence from vices and worldly pleasures. This abstinence is however only limited torepparttar 126718 period ofrepparttar 126719 fast. Most ofrepparttar 126720 time, we do see people around us who wait forrepparttar 126721 period of fasting to finish so that they can get back to their normal routine. This has in turn given rise torepparttar 126722 notion (at least inrepparttar 126723 minds..) that these people are justified forrepparttar 126724 rest ofrepparttar 126725 year or untilrepparttar 126726 next fast in committing vices as long as this fast is dutifully adhered to.
