Shearling Coat Care

Shearling coats and jackets are easy to take care of, although you do have to keep in mind a few things to avoid accidental damage to them. Here's our care guide.

If your shearling jacket gets wet, letrepparttar coat dry naturally. Don't place by a fire or other high heat source. Heat can dry outrepparttar 101739 natural oils inrepparttar 101740 hides.

Do not wash your shearling coat or jacket in a washing machine or put in a dryer. Most shearling coats are meant to be dry cleaned. When looking for a dry cleaner, make sure that they know how to properly clean a shearling coat. The process must include puttingrepparttar 101741 natural oils back intorepparttar 101742 hides. Without doing this process,repparttar 101743 hides will dry out andrepparttar 101744 coat will be ruined.

When hanging your Shearling Coat or Jacket use on a sturdy, well shaped coat hangar. Don't use a wire hanger that's going to put "pokies" inrepparttar 101745 shoulders and don't hang it up on a knob for extended periods of time.

Avoid stain resistant treatments that are made of silicone. We recommend Cavalier brand Protect-All. It will give you a layer of protection without changingrepparttar 101746 color or finish.

Do not put adhesive stickers on shearling coats or jackets, as part ofrepparttar 101747 adhesive can either get left behind orrepparttar 101748 adhesive may itself pull off some ofrepparttar 101749 fabric.

Beware when buying anything from Argos stores this christmas you might get more than you bargined for!

Whilst on our family holiday in Cornwall, July 2002, my wife purchased a digital camera from Argos StorePenzance and was givenrepparttar wrong item by sales staff Shirley Salmon and Deborah Williams at that store. My wife had payed for a £549.99 Fuji digital camera but was given a Fuji Instamatic camera worth only £29.99.
