Sharp Christmas Gift Ideas to be Given TO the Hard-to-Please FROM the Uninspired and/or Busy ShopperWritten by Susan Dunn, MA, cEQc, The EQ Coach
We’ve all got one or two people on our gift list that are just ‘impossible.’ You could always send a box of candy, flowers or a can of popcorn, but that shows so little thought. Here are some nice ideas, sure to please, easy to order, in differing price ranges, arranged by type. 1. Doesn’t care about Christmas, but is patriotic to core? Lives in Alabama but made a trip to see scene of terrorism? Get Polonaise Forever ornament ( http://www.hsn.com/cnt/prod/default.aspx?webp_id=1417623&web_id=1417623&sz=0&sf=hs&dept=HS0026&cat=HS0027&subcat=&gs=&attr=&prev=hp!sf!dept!cat ). Oddly named, this ornament is described as “a patriotic and symbolic show of support for NY City and US.” On one side Twin Towers with three firefighters and an American flag with banner reading “Forever in Our Hearts”. On other side, Statue of Liberty in front of Twin Towers with banner in red, white and blue saying “God Bless America.” 2.More into “Western” than anything else? Get Western Christmas Tree Skirt ( http://www.hsn.com/cnt/prod/default.aspx?webp_id=1058898&web_id=1058898&sz=0&sf=hs&dept=HS0026&cat=HS0027&subcat=&gs=&attr=&prev=hp!sf!dept!cat ). 3. They’ve “been there, done that” and are kind of blasé, but not about their grandchildren. Get recordable talking photo ornaments. Add photo of grandkids and their voices, or a Christmas carol ( http://www.hsn.com/cnt/prod/default.aspx?webp_id=1450443&web_id=1450443&sz=0&sf=hs&dept=HS0026&cat=HS0027&subcat=&gs=&attr=&prev=hp!sf!dept!cat ). 4 The heck with Christmas, let’s get on to Super Bowl? Try Tailgate Blender ( http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/productview.jhtml?pid=46757500&pcatid=39064300&catid=35023500 ). Just plug it into dash, half price now. 5 Classic. You can’t go wrong with classic, and this is just-enough different. Fresh evergreen wreath ( http://www.hsn.com/cnt/prod/default.aspx?webp_id=1524686&web_id=1524686&sz=0&sf=hs&dept=HS0026&cat=&subcat=&gs=&attr=&prev=hp!sf!dept ), red bow, lights, indoor use.
| | Turn Your Expertise Into Free AdvertisingWritten by Josh Greth
Being an expert in your industry can easily be turned into a cheap, immediate and an infinite source of free advertising for your business, products or services. Writing articles which can be distributed and redistributed over and over again can lead to increased web traffic, more links to your site, and best of all, an increase in overall business. The process is simple: 1.Sit down and brainstorm a few key elements of success in your specific industry. Try to think of tools, knowledge or skills you know now, that maybe you didn’t possess when you started your business. This sort of sound advice is what makes articles valuable for other business owner’s and desirable for readers and directories to share and publish throughout web. Once you have a nice collection of topics you understand and have used yourself to become successful, start writing away. Create informative articles, somewhere between 400 and 1,000 words, for each topic you brainstormed. Be as descriptive as possible, yet to point. Most online article directories and publishers will appreciate your “right to point” style, and this gives you a much better chance of actually being published. 2.Once you have some creative and informative articles written on your field of expertise, it’s time to spread word. Using Google, search for main term of your business classification. If your main area of business is for example, “Telecommunications”, then search for that (without quotations, of course). Once you have those search results it’s time to find who is willing to accept your articles. Google has a tool at bottom of search results page, to right of search bar entitled “Search within results.” Click this button and a new screen will appear. Now enter term “submit article” into this new search bar, and press search button. What you will essentially be presented with now is all results for Telecommunications, but which also contain presence of term “submit article.” Using these newest results, sift through and find some relevant and applicable sources for submitting your articles. To give you a head start, here are some good sources to start with for general business article submissions:
