If you want to attract more clients in order to build a more profitable business you need three things. You need clear goals, knowledge of how to market your business and a plan of action. Your marketing is like proverbial three-legged stool. To function effectively, all three legs need to be solidly in place.

Without clear goals you won't move forward. Without marketing knowledge you'll waste your time instead of pulling in many more clients. Without a plan of action, your marketing won't get done.

Setting Your Marketing Goals Staying on track can be a struggle, whether you are trying to stick to a diet or get your marketing in shape. How can you get started and maintain your marketing momentum? What you need to do is make a commitment to specific marketing goals.

Winners set both large and small goals, and they put specific goals in writing. This last task may sound superfluous but it can make a big difference to your success.

One of my goals had been to write a book, a task that seemed overwhelming. Of course, no one writes a book all at once, they are written a page at a time. With a short-term goal of writing three to five pages a week, I made steady progress, wrote three books and have outlines for two more.

Take a piece of paper or fire up your word processor and make a list of goals for yourself and your business. Include both long and short-term objectives. When you write your objectives where applicable include who, what and when.

Today I would like to provide you with a new perspective and new insights to help you define effective marketing strategies and tactics that will insure growth of your online business.

First of all, let's take a look at meaning of word "metamorphosis" and how it can possibly be of interest to marketing.

Metamorphosis: Noun (plural metamorphoses - say metuh´mawfuhseez) … “the change of form, structure, or substance, as transformation; structural or functional modification of a plant organ or structure during its development.”

Applied to marketing, this does clearly suggest a process by which we can possibly transform ourselves and adapt to an ever-changing and complex environment or marketplace with clear intent to become and remain successful.

It's all about our personal growth and our ability to react to multiple challenges of life in general and modern world in particular.

In a way, I am tempted to say it's all about metamorphosis of marketing tadpoles into leaping frogs!

Identifying and aligning all pieces of this complex puzzle takes time, quite a bit of thinking and determination. It also requires that we constantly reconsider our approach and refine our strategies.

Transforming ourselves has been a necessity since dawn of humanity and it is not any different in modern world: if we want to stay in business, we have to evolve.

Let's keep in mind that it is us who have to adapt to environment or marketplace and not other way around.

This is a hard fact, it cannot be argued upon: no one can expect to win at any game without first knowing rules and principles.
