Scrap booking Online: Word Perfect or Corel Graphics Suite?Written by Granny's Mettle
Scrapbooks are very popular these days. I think that almost everyone wanted to capture family histories and stories in any which way they can. And with onset of digital technology, scrap booking has even extended to newsletters and journals with photos and illustrations online and in email. They've become so popular that it's not surprising to receive an entire scrapbook from your relatives and friends and loved ones even across globe. With advanced technology, people have been using graphic design and desktop publishing software to help them create wonderful and creative scrapbooks. Two of this well-known software is CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 and WordPerfect Office Suite 12. Each of software has their own endearing qualities. Both applications are used to create newsletters as far as I know. But what software to choose? It all depends on what you want to create. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 For graphically-rich family history newsletter or time capsule, CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 would be ideal software as it is easiest graphics suite available in market today. CorelDRAW Graphics Suite is a vector editing program. This software is definitely for illustration, page layout, and vector drawing. It has Corel Photo-Paint for bitmap editing of photos and images for that professional digital imaging look. It has hundreds of clip art photos and images to choose from, which you can overlay your own family photos on top. It also has Corel R.A.V.E. 3 for motion-graphics creation.

Most business people who travel these days have a laptop in tow. Since workflow doesn’t stop when need to travel arises, these are necessities that connect them to rest of world and allow them to take care of whatever business comes up during time that they’re away. That being case, there are certain guidelines that should be followed in order to ensure safety and protection of your laptop when you get called away from office. One of first considerations that should be made is in regard to laptop’s security. Since thieves will target these as often as they will cash, jewelry or other valuables, it’s critical to put as many security measures into place as possible when traveling through airports, bus terminals, train stations and any other form of public travel. Of course, it’s never wise to leave your laptop unattended. It’s a sad testament to way of world, but you can be fairly certain that when you return, your equipment will be gone. When packing for your trip, place laptop in a case that’s different – and less obvious – from its standard carrying case, and make sure that it’s checked in as carry-on luggage. This will not only ensure that it doesn’t get stolen, but will be in pressurized part of plane, rather than baggage compartment, which doesn’t have pressure or climate controls that are needed to ensure integrity of laptop. If you’re planning to take a nap while you’re en route via public transportation, be sure to secure laptop before going to sleep. Some people go so far as to cuff unit to their wrist, but there are other measures that you can take, which include placing it in its case and putting it between your feet or between yourself and wall if you’re sitting by a window. In event that anything should actually happen to violate integrity of laptop – or if it should be stolen, despite your precautions – it’s to be expected that you’ll have backed up all critical information onto disks before beginning your travels.
