Physical Characteristics:

General Appearance: Solid, powerful and protective. Colour: Black with tan markings on cheeks, muzzle, chest, feet, over eyes and beneath tail. Coat: The outer coat is flat, coarse and of medium length. The undercoat is thick and must not show through. Tail: Customarily docked and carried horizontally. Ears: Set high, small, triangular and pendant. Body: The shoulders are long and sloping with a broad chest and well-developed sternum. The ribs are well-sprung and back is firm and straight. The body is longer in length than in height and croup is wide and slightly sloping.

Temperament: Highly intelligent, bold, courageous, obedient and protective. Rottweilers are extremely protective and loyal to their families and tend to be one-person dogs. They are dominant in nature and need a confident, fair handler to provide consistent training. If they are raised properly they happily get along with children and people whom are familiar to them. They need early socialization with household pets to prevent difficulties when they are fully grown. They are superb watchdogs and guard dogs and will not let strangers onto property.

General Appearance: Elegant, finely chiselled and proud. Colour: Black, silver, blue, white or cream with black pigmentation. Or brown and liver and matching pigmentation. Coat: Frizzy, dense, fine, woolly and harsh in texture. The coat can be clipped to suit different tastes. Tail: Set high, commonly docked and carried away from body at a slight angle. Ears: Set low, long, wide and hanging close to head. Covered in long, wavy hair. Body: The body is longer than height and shoulders are muscular and sloping. The back is short and slightly hollowed behind withers. The ribs should be rounded with a deep chest. The loin is muscular and broad and croup is rounded.

Temperament: Even-tempered, fun-loving, lively and intelligent. Poodles are easily trained and quickly learn to perform tricks. They bond closely to their family and can be acutely sensitive to their owners mood. This breed is trouble-free in terms of getting along with other dogs, pets, strangers and children. They make delightful companions with their intelligence and adaptability. This breed should not be kept in a yard alone as they thrive on companionship and attention and their natural spirit can be destroyed if deprived of this.
