Revelations,A Study.Section 7. Written by Rev.Anthony Smith
Revelations,A Study.Section 7. Chapter 8:1 thru 10:7 The Seventh Seal opened and seven trumpets start sounding. Revelations is not written in sequence. We have Seven Seals, Seven Trumpets and Seven Viles of wrath of God. If we put a seal beside a trumpet and add Vile we have complete sequence of events. The reason it was written in this manner was to get Gods Children to compare scripture with scripture. The Seventh Seal if you notced when opened, ushers in a time of silence. This is to introduce first trumpet. Rev 8:2 And I saw seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. To show you a sequence of events lets just take first of all three and put them together. The First Seal; Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. The First Trumpet; Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon earth: and third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. The First Vile; Rev 16:2 And first went, and poured out his vial upon earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon men which had mark of beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. The seal is opened trumpet is sounded and vile is poured out. When looking at all seven in sequence we see total picture of what is happening. These next 2 verses show that prayers of saints are answered quickly. Rev 8:4 And smoke of incense, which came with prayers of saints, ascended up before God out of angel's hand. Rev 8:5 And angel took censer, and filled it with fire of altar, and cast it into earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.[Ref; Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on earth?] This is literial.Rev 8:7 The first Trumpet, hail, fire & blood. Result; third part of trees & green grass burnt up. This is literial.Rev 8:8 The second Trumpet, The third part of sea became blood;[ Look closely, it doesnt say “became as blood”] third part of ships were destroyed. third part of creatures which were in sea, and had life, died. This is literial.Rev 8:10 The third Trumpet, and there fell a {great star} [spirit] from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon third part of rivers, and upon fountains of waters; The word,Wormwood, means bitter sorrow. [Jer_9:15,Lam_3:15; Lam_3:19; Deu_29:18; Pro_5:4; Amo_5:7, rendered "hemlock"; Greek apsinthos; Rev 8:11 And name of star is called Wormwood: and third part of waters became wormwood; and many men died of waters, because they were made bitter. This is literial. Rev 8:12 The fourth Trumpet, The third part of sun, moon, and stars; were darkened, and day shone not for a third part of it, and night likewise. Moveing man into reality that all things come to an end. Business as usual is over. Verse Rev 8:13 is a warning to earth. This is literial. Rev 9:1 The fifth Trumpet, and I saw a {star}[Angel] fall from heaven unto earth: and to him was given key of {bottomless pit.} [Hell opened] Verses 9:2 thru 9:10. The creatures from Bottonless pit are deamons of Satan. They are given a time limit of Five months, to create as much pain and suffering on mankind as they can, but their power is limited by God so that they cannot, hurt grass, green things, trees, kill, or hurt anyone with seal of God upon their foreheads.

Revelations a StudySection 8. Chapter 10:1 thru 11:19, Measuring of temple of God, The Little Book, The 2 witnesses. The Seven Thunders , any speculation on words spoken of by seven thunders would be useless, it is not for us to know. Rev 10:5 thru 10:7, end of physical time. Time was created for man and not for God. Rev 10:7 is future prophecy. Rev 10:8 thru Rev 10:10 Is speaking of Truth of Scripture, to human body it is bitter but to spirit of acceptance it is sweet. John at this point was told that he was to continue to spread gospel. Rev 11:2 But court which is without temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto Gentiles: and holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. [3 years and 6 mths.] We are starting to get closer to explanation of Seven year peace treaty with Israel and Antichrist. The two witnesses, [the two olive trees, two candlesticks.] Rev 11:3 thru Rev 11:6 is an explanation of two witnesses and their power for time alloted them ,their power and their witness for God. Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. [3.48 years.] Rev 11:4 These are two olive trees, and two candlesticks standing before God of earth. The testimony of two witnesses will not be stoped nor altered by any human or spirit. Now there are two intrepretations of Idenity of two witnesses. Enoch and Elijah [Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.] Enoch never saw death. Elijah, 2Ki 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.Elijah never saw death. The other theory includes Moses which had a physical death, but is said to have called down fire from heavan. Elijah and Moses. [Isa. 52:7,Isa. 44:26-28, Isa.52:8-9; 62:6-7, Ezek. 40-48] This is literial, Rev 11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. {Isa 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and flame of devouring fire.}{Isa 30:30 And LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew lighting down of his arm, with indignation of his anger, and with flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.} {Joe 2:3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: land is as garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.}
